“Ian Roberts designed and built our new home for us and we are beyond thrilled with it! Not only was it amazing to work with one person from the very beginning right through to the end, but Ian's eye for detail resulted in a gorgeous and comfortable home. The project was virtually stress free for us as Ian oversaw every aspect. My husband and I described our dream house to Ian and he came through for us from concept to completion. Ian finished on time and on budget which seemed contrary to what everyone told us when we began the endeavor. We highly recommend Ian Roberts and Flashhouse and would not think twice about working with him again in the future!”

“We have been dealing with Laurel and her design team for six months now and have found the experience to be satisfying -- and exciting. Laurel includes us in all aspects of the decision phase, right down to taking us out to meet the suppliers so we can make an informed choice. We look forward to the build phase of our project. Now we are well into the build phase of the project we can see the meticulous detail that Angelito and his crews put into the structure. We meet with them every other week, but we can also contact them at any time with questions or concerns. (update)We have now moved into our home and love it! It is so comfortable, and perfect for us. We are very happy with the quality of the work.”

“We recently engaged Corbet Custom Design to fully renovate our 2,700 square foot apartment and we couldn’t be happier with the results. This was a large job which included complete gutting of all rooms and replacement of all fixtures, appliances, cabinets, flooring, windows and decking. The main living space was transformed from a compartmentalized, outdated design to a bright and airy, open plan layout. Tracy was attentive to every detail from earliest planning to occupancy permit. Tracy starts with a fabulous sense of design. Every space, every colour, every texture and nuance are carefully considered and delivered to perfection. Yet she is always budget conscious. Overseeing all materials, fixtures, appliances, cabinets and sub trades, Tracy kept us on track with our costs throughout the 5 month job. And she finished right on schedule, which allowed us to move on the planned date. All the while, Tracy oversaw every detail of our renovation, ensuring the work was complete to the highest standards. The end result is so much more beautiful and livable that we had ever imagined. This is where we believe Tracy’s true vision is proven. “I am a tile subcontractor with repeated business from John Stevens owner of Wildwood Homes. Each job working with John has been a great experience. Bidding, building, project completion, and billing have all been well organized and on time. John is a very knowledgable and professional contractor. I have noticed he has strong eye for detail and is always full of unique, creative ideas in the planning stage of projects. I have also noticed on his job sites that the other subcontractors he hires are all skilled professionals in their trade and take pride in their work creating a pleasant, productive work environment. “Many aspects of this project seemed new to this company. As a result, it took longer than expected and there were some minor re-dos. That being said, we ended up with a nice garage/shop for a reasonable cost. It was very nice working with Josh Perry, in that he consistently exhibited integrity and a positive attitude.”

“All the support posts for our car port were rotten and needed to be replaced. The estimator from Kerr came over and reviewed the project. We discussed my requirements: demolition, post replacement, cedar siding and plexiglass windows. The estimate was acceptable and I gave the project the go ahead. Shawn was the contractor for the project. He was very pleasant. We reviewed the job and discussed his suggestions, all of which were positive. Shawn raised some concerns after the demolition. This resulted in additional work and materials. I was very concerned about the overruns but after conversations with Shawn and Dave I agreed to proceed. The end result is excellent. I will use them for future projects and would recommend them to anyone reading this review.”
