“Doug Clarke is a fantastic builder to work with. While developing the quote, Doug would provide valuable feedback regarding any issues with the renovations we wanted done - suggestions on other ways to complete the job for a better finish and other materials that would work better. He answered all our questions during the consultation phase, providing a thorough and honest understanding of what was involved with the job. On the days organised, Doug always arrived on time and prepared. He recommended, organised and liaised with associated tradies such as a fantastic plumber and his manner was always professional and approachable. We are more than happy with the work he has done on our house - a gorgeous, enormous deck out from our living area giving us more living space; an updated modern laundry with work areas and plenty of storage; and some changes to internal walls to update and make our spaces more liveable. We would recommend Doug Clarke to anyone considering renovations on their property.”

“On an 800sq m block we are raising / moving an old Queenslander, and renovating it, and building underneath. Throughout this big project, Daniel has been extraordinary in every aspect and I would certainly recommend him to anybody contemplating hiring a draftsman or architect. We did a lot of research before choosing Daniel to design our dream home. He is very practical and completely understands which changes will trigger engineering / build cost blowouts and which won't. A criticism I hear frequently of architects is that they are not practical in this regard yet instead you get the flair and creativity - but Daniel was exceptionally creative and this was certainly a strength of his. Daniel also turned around plans rapidly and this helped greatly because he was never the cause of a delay in the design / approval process. This, along with Daniel's exceptional knowledge of what will and won't be approved according to regulations, all helped get our Development Application approved at the earliest possible time with the maximum possible leeway we could get.”
