“After looking around online for a new wood burning stove we went to the Black Swan store/showroom in New Milford, CT. Best decision we could have made. Their selection is huge, the staff are super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful (and not pushy at all). I was most worried about the installation since our old stove was really old, but they came and inspected the flue beforehand to check we'd ordered the right one for our home. Because of the set up in our house the cost was several hundred dollars cheaper than they had originally quoted, so add honesty to the reasons why I give them 5 stars. The installation was quick (about an hour) and their guys were completely professional. They cleaned up after themselves and took extra time to explain how to break in the stove (very important) and how to use it efficiently. We had the stove inspected by the town (an absolute must-do for home insurance purposes) and it passed without a problem. Our wood burning stove not only looks great, but it easily heats the house and we've noticed a big difference in the amount of oil we are using. From beginning to end it was a great experience and I can't recommend Black Swan highly enough. Nick C”

“I spent over a month researching direct vent fireplaces. Goal was to replace the decorative builder grade fireplace to a more efficient unit that would produce heat and warm the family room. I interviewed two local companies about fireplaces and reviewed numerous web sites and spoke to countless salesman in my search for a fireplace that was within my budget. During my internet search, I came across Fireplacesrus.net. Jeff answered and took the time to listen to me about my project. Jeff, having many years of experience installing guided me to a Kingsman ZCV39 which turned out to be perfect for our home. I ordered the unit from his site and 5 days later the unit was delivered in perfect shape. It took me a week to install working on it part time. Everything went together perfectly following instructions and she fired up with the remote on the first command. This was a DIY project so during the installation I had several questions and Jeff also took my calls and or answered my email questions. Installing a fireplace is not for the average DIY homeowner. It does require advanced DIY skill to complete the job safely. Thank you Jeff for being straight forward about the fireplaces you sell and your advice that helped me accomplish this project.”

“After several cold winters, my husband and I became interested in purchasing a wood stove to heat the basement of our home. Unfortunately, neither of us had every owned or operated a wood stove. Throughout the entire process, the staff at Fire Glow were extremely professional, knowledgable, and courteous! They addressed every question that we had, made recommendations on the wood stove that would be perfect for our household, and provided everything that we would need for obtaining permits. Neither my husband or I felt any pressure to buy and were greatly impressed by the amount of information that our sales associate gave us. Given our positive experience, we went ahead and purchased a Quadra Fire 4300 wood stove. Fire Glow kept in contact each step of the process and were willing to work the scheduling around our basement renovation. Our installer did a wonderful job- the installation was impeccable! He walked us through stove operation, chimney maintenance, and was kind enough to answer our remaining questions/concerns. Bottom line- from beginning to end, Fire Glow went above and beyond our expectations! We are very grateful for the positive experience that we had and will gladly remain loyal customers.”

I have employed him to build and install a masonry heater and for various new construction and repair projects and he has consistently performed to a 5 star standard. With his background as a professional engineer, he provides engineering and architectural services as well as construction services and he comes up with good solutions to the most difficult tasks. “I purchased an RH Peterson 'Realfyre Split Oak SDP' 24" inch log set and burner from L.I. Fireplace and Stone in June 2017. I loved the look but did not really get a chance to burn it for a long period of time till late October. It keep shutting down after 45 minutes of burning. This was due to the log set being a bit too large for my fireplace box that built up heat. This was my fault as I insisted on this size. Michael Sapio of L.I. Fireplace and Stone (owner) was just fabulous ! He came back inspected the original unit and cleaned all debris that I had created. Upon the 2nd complaint he came back and cleaned and adjusted the log set again. However, the unit shutdown again. Michael ordered a brand new (more expensive ) 'G52 Realfyre Charred Evergreen ' log set and came back, removed the old set and installed the new unit. The new unit runs just great and is beautiful ! Most IMPORTANT ! There was no charge at all for any of the above except the original purchase. I and my wife went to many fireplace showrooms and shopped them all. We settled on L.I. Fireplace & Stone which had the best displays (hard to find location-sign in the window only but address is correct). Their motto on the 'invoice' sheet is "WE GO THE EXTRA MILES FOR OUR CUSTOMERS". This is so true ! Could not be more pleased and satisfied !!!!”
