Parquetry Flooring Company

Mid Jan 2023 we had parquetry flooring laid in Brush Box with a herringbone design. This was laid in our family room and passage. The initial laying of the blocks was fine, but the sanding, varnishing and beading was a sloppy job to say the least. What should have been a 2 week job eked out to 2 months! Our skirtings and door jams were also damaged during the process of the sanding. Alan did try to remedy some of the problems, the floor was re sanded and varnished. And some of the beading was replaced. But although it looked a little better there are still lots of debris and other marks in the finish. A word of warning. If you are already living in the property be prepared for a lot of sawdust on your surfaces, even though the sanding machine has a vacuum on it. The smell of the varnish is quite strong. We had headaches for 2 weeks after the floor had dried. Even though we’d moved out for 3 days to let it dry. The Matt finish which was advised, shows up every single mark including any imperfections. I wish I’d stuck with the gloss which we’d had previously on our pre-existing parquet floors which had been done many years ago and certainly stood the test of time. I do have to say though, that Nicole the office manager who I’d had dealings with towards the end of the 2nd month had been very helpful and efficient. I only wish that I had dealt with her in the very beginning.

I needed Parquetry Flooring to take up a large area of timber flooring, store it for several months and then relay after a few months of renovating. Parquetry did an outstanding job. The took up the flooring with a minimum of fuss, stored the timber for me and then relaid the old timber and also added some new timber. The work was outstanding with the floor layers doing a great job in matching the old and new timbers. They also were able to join the existing timber floor with the new floor so that there was no noticeable difference. The workmen arrived on time, were easy to accommodate and did excellent work. A great company that I can highly recommend.

Extremely helpful and professional. Diligent and tidy workers. Worked was done on time. The job looks brilliant, and it has transformed the house.
