I first met Bohdan Dorniak in 2010, when my wife and I attended an open day at the Food Forest in Gawler, South Australia. Bohdan gave a presentation on energy efficient homes and passive solar design. Then he led a tour of the many straw bale buildings and structures on the property, providing lots of useful information and answering questions. We were impressed with Bohdan and his team and in 2011 engaged Bohdan Dorniak Architects to design an extension for us. We found Bohdan very easy to work with. He listened to our wants and needs and was able to incorporate these, along with site specific and budget restraints, council requirements and many green and eco design considerations, into a chohesive design. He contributed many of his own ideas and solutions along the way, such as a compact three way bathroom design that feels spacious and has a great flow, despite a very small footprint. Bohdan and his team liaised which council, got us planning and building approval and was happy to assist with any issues as they arose throughout the building process.
