“Derich and Dave were great. My issues were quickly assessed, and they went about the task to get everything resolved. Derich set up a new router, made sure I got coverage throughout my home, and that all my devices worked. Both of them worked to install a new audio receiver and got all of my TV and cable equipment working smoothly. They even removed an old Sony Wallstation that was outdated and did the drywall repair! Absolutely top notch service/equipment. Derich is knowledgeable and personable. Dave kept the work areas neat and made sure everything was cleaned up/tidy. GREAT JOB!”

“They installed a home theater system including TV, projector, drop down screen, sound system, and remote control system as part of a home remodel. They worked in a timely manner and coordinated their work with the main contractor of the remodel very nicely. They are very responsive and have been available to help us when we needed a little fine tuning of the system. They were very nice to my family and very clean and did not disturb the other work being done around the house. We are very happy with our new home theater and thrilled with the excellent service they provided.”

“We moved to the Bay Area recently and wanted to find a local company to install a home audio system in the house we bought. I spoke with several companies, and had people come out, talk about what we could do within our budget. The people at Avid Home were by far the best. We set up for Micah to come out to the house and he really listened to what we wanted. He didn't come with a preconceived idea of what to do. We were not trying to make a home theater, this system is mainly to bring music to all our rooms. We wanted it Sonos based, and had 7 rooms set up throughout the house with ceiling or wall speakers. We had a bid within our budget, but after a few more conversations, opted to increase the budget slightly to allow for future upgrades if desired. We love it, could not be happier with the results! Micah made fantastic suggestions for everything, every detail covered, but exactly what WE wanted. The installers were terrific, very professional, and easily overcame the inevitable glitches we ran into. They were on time, kept us informed of the process, and cleaned up everyday. Highly recommend all the folks at Avid. Glad to have found them and will be going back to add more music to the addition we will be building.”

“Mike Brazil is creative and professional and is our electrician of choice. We moved into a house with a relay system, which was apparently very high tech in the 60's when our house was built, but now is basically an obsolete technology which makes it pretty much impossible for us to find parts for. As parts of the system started to go on us, we called several electricians to replace them. We were told by all that we would eventually have to replace the entire system (re-wire the house, basically) since parts are unavailable. Sinking $10-$15k into rewiring switches was frustrating to us since we just bought this house (our first) and of course the inspector never mentioned it, etc. and all that money would just result in some normal switches- boring. Mike was the only one who came to the table with a solution that would cost the same amount but give us much greater functionality- the Lutron Radio Ra system. With his creativity, we now feel better about our investment since we can control the entire house on keypads, from our iPad, etc. We can set up schemes so at one click we can choose "prep lighting" or "entertaining" lighting in the kitchen for example, and we can even control the system remotely and or even set the lights to come on while we're on vacation to mimic our normal routine. I know Mike didn't invent the technology, but he is the only one who saw this as a great solution to our problem. Throughout the process he's come up with other creative solutions to combine switches or use hardware to save us money or get us the best functionality. He really knows what he's doing!”
