Building Republic

No one should build with Jarrad Savage from building republic. I entered a fixed contract with Hontondo Homes then to be told my contract has been givens to a builder called Jarrad who has become an independent builder. For months I heard nothing back about my house as they couldn’t even get plans approved by the developer. Months later I get an email from Jarrad that I either pay an extra $68K on top on the $170k contract or we don’t continue and he gives me back my 5% deposit which is $8,500. Both me and Jarrad agreed to give me back my money within that week in 2022 and terminate the contract. It has now been over a year I haven’t NOT received my money back and Jarrad has completely ignored my email and messages for months now. Im looking into legal action now and for being a single person who earns minimum wage I’m devastated this has happened and no one is willing to help get my money back!!

If I could 0 stars or -10 stars for jarrad I would. If you look up hotondo Clyde (when they were trading as them) reviews on product reviews there are some extremely unhappy people The unnecessary stress, headaches, mental health issues dealing with them we decided it was best to terminate as they were asking for more money. We declined and following that we encountered excuse after excuse. I have proceeded further to get our refund back. Approx 40-50 emails, calls, texts sent and received maybe 5 replies. I obtained a deed cancellation notice and since then it has gone down hill fast to 0 communication to obtain a refund they said they would offer. Build was suppose to finish in February 2022 and we only got to the site cut stage! When we were cleaning up our land we found all the paperwork dumped. We have now gone with another builder who have been amazing as they did not want us to experience what we have been through previously and is cheaper! I recommend to stay away! Not worth the stress, mental health issues. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

It was a great pleasure dealing with chamrin who helped myself and my husband with building our new dream home. He was very professional and passionate, and made the whole experience from start to end easy and stress free. I would highly recommend Chamrin to anyone who is building their new home. Chamrin explained options clearly and professionally which made us feel at ease. He held our hand and helped guide us through the process which was quicker than expected.
