We were very impressed with Peter Lewin and his team. Our project was a challenge, the house was old and run down and the site provided limited access for heavy machinery so it was always going to be difficult. Peter only found solutions to the problems, he restored the front part of our house back to its former glory and put a high quality extension on the back of the house. The renovation included an ensuite, walk in robe, bathroom, kitchen, euro laundry, living area,deck and study. Peter was incredibly honest through out the whole project and was upfront about additional costs. He also gave us advice on the best places to find tiles, flooring, bathroomware and tapware. We would recommend Peter to others who required renovations.

I was dreading a significant renovation- arguments with the builder, the variation game, issues over quality, delays etc. It is hard to find anyone who has a good experience. We did a major reno of a Californian Bungalow home in Richmond- changed second bedroom into WIR and new ensuite, large open plan with new kitchen and new upstairs with 2 bedrooms and family bathroom. Peter is an excellent builder who completed a high quality job. Over the 7 months it became very clear: 1. Peter is meticulous and will not stand for sub standard work- he cares about the quality of the job 2. He does not play the variation game and acts fairly- when we did agree on changes, most of which we knew in advance, he found the best price and only added 15% builder margin, much less than others we interviewed 3. Any area that traditionally leads to debate over level of fittings etc, he happily made a provisional or prime cost sum and his estimates where accurate 4. He has an excellent team of trades who were generally good to deal with, whom he supervised tightly 5. He recommended good suppliers and worked to find a better price. He was also relaxed when we found better options. 6. He was organised and efficient- even though Covid created delays he still finished the job Peter is forthright, what you see is what you get. We would not hesitate to recommend such an experienced builder who cares about the quality of the build.

If I could recommend a Melbourne builder for anyone Peter & Construct Group would be it. We recently finished a complicated warehouse renovation project in Richmond that took about 6 months. Peter was absolutely brilliant the whole way though, great commutation, flexible and has no problems helping with all the extra things that often builders will ignore and say "not my job." I was also really happy with the work and the tradespeople that Peter uses, from carpenters to electricians and plumbers, it was all completed to a really high standard and if it wasn't Peter was the first to point it out and get it redone. Peter also understood the budget I was working with and did his best to be upfront about where I could possibly save, even on his own PC sums right through the job. Really, I can't recommend Peter highly enough.

Peter and his team did a great job on our home renovation in inner Melbourne (including an extension, a second level and new bathrooms and toilets). Despite many hurdles with permits, COVID, building supplies and variations he managed to finish on time and mostly as per quoted price. We also valued Peter's advice on design issues because our build comprised both period and modern designs. Peter's substantial experience as a builder was also invaluable. For example, he had practical ideas on design and knowledge of places to go to buy materials at substantially less cost than well known franchises but still good quality. And respectful and professional at all times with our family.

We recently completed a major renovation on our property, as with any renovation you discover additional problems as you go, all were overcome with minimal fuss and when necessary reduced additional cost. Minor changes to the original design were accommodated with full awareness of any additional cost. The quality of work from the sub-contractors was generally excellent and when not, Peter ensured rectification. Peter's advice was both technically solid and with our best interests in mind, his costings were transparent and fair. Renovations on a family home are always fraught endeavours especially in 2020, I strongly recommended Peter as a trustworthy and reliable builder.

Peter was very good to deal with. He was transparent with the cost and delivered the project on budget and in the time frame he initially advised. We are very happy with the final product.

Highly Recommended Builder! We had really difficult job here and two other builders didn't even want to quote. Job was done under lots of pressure and on time and on budget. Builder was in charge of small army of tradesman and had to negotiate with the Melbourne City Council. Would definitely use this company again.

We engaged Peter for the renovation of our laundry, it was a small but fiddly job. Peter was more than willing to take it on and put a lot of time and effort into consulting with us to get it right. The pricing was fair and the quality of work high. All the tradesmen that came in were very professional and well mannered. We have other renovations coming and are highly likely to use him again.

The workmanship from demolition to completion was excellent. I am extremely happy with the work undertaken and the end result.
