Home Builders in Gilmore, Australian Capital Territory

“We had the privilege of entrusting John Mathews of Constructive Building with the construction of our home in 2022, and it has been a truly exceptional experience. In an industry often plagued by tales of builders going bankrupt or legal entanglements, finding someone like John was a breath of fresh air. He embodies the timeless values of integrity, transparency, and an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. Our journey with John began with a cold call where it became abundantly clear that he was cut from a different cloth. John's integrity shone through, and his genuine pride in his work was palpable. We were immediately reassured that building with him was the right decision. What further cemented our trust in John was discovering that he had previously completed successful projects for two acquaintances of ours, both of whom still held him in high regard. In an industry where positive testimonials can be hard to come by, this was indeed impressive. Throughout the build, John provided invaluable guidance and displayed remarkable patience as we navigated the complexities of our unique design, which required a Development Application. Despite his reservations, John supported us every step of the way, even when we encountered the expected administrative challenges. One of John's standout qualities was his willingness to accommodate our customisation requests, even mid-construction. He not only provided expert advice and insights into the building process but also offered invaluable suggestions. Yet, he always deferred to our preferences, ensuring our vision for the house was realised. Our home was constructed during one of the most challenging periods, marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, international wood shortages, labor shortages, and adverse weather conditions. John's response to these challenges was nothing short of commendable. His transparent communication and unwavering commitment to our best interests provided solace, especially during this trying period. It's worth noting that, contractually, John could have exploited these challenges to his advantage, but he consciously chose not to. This decision exemplified his principled approach and fairness, a rarity in this industry. Now, over six months into residing in our new home, we couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the construction and the exceptional service we received from John. He has earned not only our trust but also the trust of others within our circle. We would eagerly choose to build with John again, knowing that such an experience is truly one in a million. Thank you, John, for making our dream home a reality”

“We undertook a major renovation of our home and engaged Luke Chapman of Chapman Built to complete the work. Our renovations included a major reconstruction of our living areas, new kitchen, new lounge area and extensive renovation of master bedroom and ensuite. Luke worked extremely closely with our interior designer to bring our vision to realisation. Luke has assembled an excellent team of tradespeople who are reliable, clean and share his passion for a quality product. Luke’s attention to detail is second to none and we cannot fault the overall home that he has delivered for our family. Luke communicated with us throughout the renovation and kept us fully informed of progress and any issues that arose. We had some complicated flooring requirements and Luke worked calmly and patiently with the Melbourne-based supplier to ensure this could be delivered as part of the project. We could not recommend Luke and his team highly enough for anyone wanting a high-quality build.”
