I discovered Indieliving when my initial builder fell through for our house build in late 2021. No hard feelings it just didn’t work out. When I first contacted Ben he was very helpful and honest. He initiated a meeting promptly and was punctual to a tee. From that very first meeting Ben and his business have been nothing but exemplary in how they conduct themselves. During our build we heard so many horror stories of delays and cost blow outs from friends and across the news. We had not one single price increase, I put this down solely to the accuracy and knowledge of Ben’s quoting. The build wasn’t as cheap as many other builders but by crikey it is top shelf quality throughout and I would pay it again in a heartbeat. Ben began building in May 2022 and we moved in March 2023, which as everyone I’ve spoken to since has remarked was a stellar effort. During the build Ben was always engaging us in design considerations which were often fabulous and have certainly improved the quality of our house. These were always done at an early stage as well so that there was little to no impact on Ben’s program, hence the fabulous build time. Ben’s attention to detail was amazing, he often would bring back trades to fix up minor defects that I had missed but he wasn’t happy with. He owned any mistake and always rectified it. Whenever I had questions or concerns over anything Ben or Kerry were incredibly prompt in replying and resolving or answering us. With our selection of materials and PC items there was never any pressure to go with a particular supplier just great help and always chasing up for delivery. Even one supplier who was troublesome in delivery Ben and Kerry worked very hard to ensure that it was still delivered and installed in a timely manner. All of Ben’s subcontractors were great as well, there was never a drama in getting what we asked for done. Obviously Ben only uses people who he thinks highly of. As a testament to Indieliving I always tell people who built our house and how happy we were with the whole process. If anyone in the Lake Macquarie or Newcastle area are after a builder you cannot go past Indieliving!!

Working with Indie Living to build our dream home has been an experience that was beyond our expectations. This is not our first new home build so we came into the process having previous experience. Ben, Greg and Kerry are the dream team! Nothing was too hard for Ben despite the complexity of our build. From always being accessible to making the process painless and smooth, we always felt they were building our home like it was their own.
