We had a fantastic experience with Jamie and his team. His quoting process is very thorough and the advice he shared made a huge difference to the whole process. He is friendly, transparent and approachable, and was always on time. His team did high quality work with great attention to detail. He clearly communicated and made sure every detail was exactly what we asked for. The inevitable problems that come with multiple overlapping projects were handled carefully and to a higher standard than we thought possible. 10/10 - we can not recommend him highly enough.

Jamie and his team were incredibly professional from start to finish - from his advice while planning our renovation, through the contracting process, during the renovation and after to ensure we had no issues. Jamie is fastidious about quality and checked his team's and subcontractors work at every step. Jamie made himself available to talk to us and meet throughout the build at short notice. Our renovation took place partly during home-schooling and working from home due to Covid. All of the Jamie Shaw Team were friendly, polite and worked with us to work around us. We hired Jamie to help design and build our two large ensuites and gym/sauna room for our home in 2021. Jamie is fantastic at his job, his professionalism and prompt attention to absolutely everything to do with our build, was absolutely outstanding!! He takes into account all the finer details and finishes we just would not think of, which make his builds a class above the rest. Jamie is a perfectionist, which is a credit to him, he will not settle for poor workmanship ever. Great communicator and honest with his explanation of how things are done and what order etc. He made our build so easy, and always let us know when he would be doing the next stage and so on. His team are fantastic at their jobs and highly skilled, which we appreciate so much when it came to our home which we love. You hear horror stories all the time of people being conned and overcharged and poor workmanship, Jamie totally changed our mindset and we would happily work with him again on any future project. We would highly recommend Jamie Shaw Building to any prospective home owner or home builder.

Jamie was professional from the beginning to end. The initial consultation went smoothly with Jamie working with me to design a bathroom that I wanted but add some sensible practical measures that I had not thought of. The preparation, fitting and completion of the new bathroom was explained at every stage of the work schedule with photos and an explanation of the next step. The quality of the finished bathroom is outstanding and I would recommend that Jamie Shaw be given the first choice for your renovation.

Jamie recently constructed the handrail at our property near Berry on the NSW south coast. It was a relatively small job but an important one to us as it has greatly enhanced the visual appeal of our home. Jamie and his team delivered with 100% professionalism and attention to detail. We were looking to turn a machinery shed into a cottage on our property. The aim was to create a cottage with that WOW factor. Not being a true local to the Shoalhaven area I decided to ask fellow golf members at The Heads GC who were involved in the building trade if they could recommend any local builders. Jamie Shaw's name kept coming up whether it be from a plumber, painter, chippy of concreter. So I called Jamie and we had a brief chat on site. Firstly, he was punctual, (pretty important to me), well presented, but still looked like he had done a hard days work on the tools! From there we met again but this time with his 2 carpenters Jimmy and Locky. We spoke openly of the proposed DA and started to take ideas and advice from all 3 of them concerning design, materials and how we can create this special project . It became very apparent Jamie and the boys knew their stuff and were as enthusiastic as us on building a cottage we could all be proud of. Part of these discussions involved roof line design, gables, internal raked timber ceilings, external stonework (that could be also used inside), getting the best effects to work in with the surrounding environment and layouts. Sort of everything an architect does but using a builders practicality. After signing cost plus contracts, Jamie gave us a detailed building timeline from start to finish. He explained why and how he engaged his subbies (plumber, electricians, concreter, stone mason, etc). From day one it was apparent the respect Jamie had from these trades people. I would chat with them and frequently I was told that when you work for Jamie you had better get it right. Jamie was continually assessing workmanship on the job. His organisational and communication skills were exceptional. We were always informed of even the most minor details and if, on the rare occurrence (usually weather or availability issues) and timing changed, we were the first to be told. We do not live on the property and our site meetings were weekly therefore these skills helped make the whole experience for us extremely comfortable. Even when it came to appliances, white goods, air cons, fires, materials, Jamie had it covered and knew where to obtain from with the best value prices. It was an absolute pleasure working with Jamie Shaw Building and cannot recommend his workmanship and professionalism more highly. If you are like us and enjoy a bit of banter with the guys on site you certainly get it with his crew. All excellent at their trades, enjoy their work and love a good sledge! Seriously, if you intend a new home, remodel or a masterpiece, contact Jamie sooner than later before he is booked out too far in advance. We have just taken the keys to our new custom designed home constructed by Jamie Shaw Building. We are blown away by Jamie's high quality finish and passion to deliver a stunning home. The build finished on budget, on time and expectations fully met and exceeded. Jamie was available most days and evenings to discuss any matter we had. We lived 2 hours from our new home so we relied on Jamie for a lot of the decision making and to his credit he nailed it every time. We cannot recommend both Jamie and his team highly enough. Jamie Shaw & the team recently completed a renovation on our home. We had a vision to open up our older style house to give it an open modern feel.
