“This year we contracted Chris Shepherd and his skilled team to complete a considerable internal renovation of our 1970s home. This involved removing supporting walls, the kitchen and old concrete flooring. They then reframed the ceiling, relined the walls, installed new windows and a beautiful fire place. Chris also negotiated with the companies providing flooring and the new kitchen. The NorthEast Building team also built a new double garage (in the style of the 1970s home) on our challenging site. Chris and his team were very professional, with a high degree of attention to both the engineering and design aspects of our build. Chris was generous with his time and expertise when we needed help with decision making and kept us well informed throughout the project. We highly recommend Chris Shepherd and NorthEast Building. “Tristan and Jess were asked to design an extension that would provide us with a new master bedroom and en-suite, also to improve the layout of our existing living space. The budget for this project was quite modest. The design brief was very much fulfilled, the project is still underway, but already the house is transformed. We have already received very positive feedback from our builder about the design. Tristan and Jess understand older houses and how to work with them to make the most of the original, whilst bringing it up to modern standards. We will have more space and much more light into our previously dim living space.”
