No. We used Matt Mooney for our building job last year. Are still going through Fair Trading and now are seeking a lawyer. He under quoted and overcharged.(nearly 100% blow out!) We have done several building projects over the years and have never seen anything like this. We had to rescind the contract before final completion as the costs were blowing out of control. Something we thought very carefully about, have never done but it was really our last resort. He has withheld our initial deposit of $8, 800 and refuses to refund it. My issues are many but here are the main ones: Promised itemised project reports and supplied nothing. We were in Sydney and could not supervise. Very suspicious hours worked/charged. He didn’t follow the plan and now we have to live with a wall being in the wrong place. Do not use this builder!! Very unhappy.
