Before we committed to anything, Dylan workshopped several ideas and concepts to ensure we felt comfortable before making a commitment. The amount of time and collaboration involved in creating the ideal floorplan for our family exceeded all expectations. Dylan continued sharing ideas and concepts until we were all 100% content with the plan. Dylan used his building connections to seek feedback to ensure our design was able to meet budget expectations. Despite it not being our intention, investing in Dylan has actually saved us money as there are so many builders who are keen to collaborate with him and complete his projects. We narrowed it down to 3 builders, but our draftsman/designer strongly recommended Blue Diamond. His team consisting of Andy, Adrians, 2nd in command to Shannon and his son Brooklyn, who did our frame with perfect accuracy, to their magician tiler Arian, who hand cut tiles to fit a little niche that we did not expect to get feature tiles into, electrician Jack and his team, Plumbers John and Ben and their fabulous painter McGregor. Their kitchen guy, Darren, was just a star and at the very start reassured me I was in very good hands with Blue Diamond. Roscoe the glazier helped solve a space issue superbly. Coburg floor coverings were a pleasure to deal with. All these trades kept saying to us “This project will be great don’t worry Adrian is a perfectionist” These are just a few of the team members that Adrian has had for many years for a reason. Blue Diamond knew that this was our home, not just a house. They understood the history and understood us. Nothing was too much bother; no question was too frivolous. We were speechless (yes, there were tears) when our home was handed back to us. It is utterly beautiful. Adrian and his wife, Maree, have curated a team that truly cares about the work and about their clients. If we could give and 110% satisfaction review, we would - actually, we do! “When we came across Holman Design’s body of work we immediately enquired to see if we Guy was available to design our family home. When we met Guy and Katie we also knew straight away that they were the team for us. We gave Guy a rough design brief and left it in has capable hands. We gave Guy free range to design and do what he does best. His initial design concept surpassed our expectations and we still can't believe we're building such a beautiful family home. As an added bonus, having Katie there to advise us on interior decisions to tie in the exterior with the interior, again, reinforced that we made the right decision. The collaboration between the Holman Design team, both inside and out, in my opinion puts them head and shoulders above the rest. Having now made it to the point of appointing a builder, I can now appreciate the level of detail required to deliver a custom home and how important maintaining quality relationships with all stake holders is to achieving such a feet.
