After purchasing our block of land and being first time home builders, we quickly learnt that our plot of land had certain specifications, restrictions and requirements. So, we began our research and approached many different building companies forking out plenty of $$$ signing contracts only to renege a short time after. We had certain wants and must haves (dreams) and not all of these had been acquired with any of the (project) builders we had sourced so far. Then we found South Coast Homes (SCH)... Whilst having a strict rather tight budget we thought that a custom home was completely out of our reach, especially for our 'first' time building. We were transparent with the team at SCH from the initial consultation and this was the topic of conversation at each appointment. Then the design time came and we basically went to the appointment with no clue where to start and both just blurted all of our wants and needs onto a piece a paper. Then next appointment.... a house appeared, drawn by the architect. It was nothing we had ever imagined to be ours and far from the stock standed house we had imagined. It was amazing! Coming in at a little over budget, with some tweaking we resulted in a functionally designed house within our budget. We were stoked! The building process then began and this was with ease. The communication between the whole team at SCH made our experience fluent and most definitely positive. SCH were accommodating on our behalf and the building team were punctual, well mannered, respectful and highly skilled. The quality of work was excellent. Once finishing the build we feel very strongly about our appreciation of SCH and the effort that was contributed by all members of the team at each stage of the build and still it continues. Our After build maintenance has been so minor which is a reflection on the quality of their build. Thank you! We achieved a build based on transparency and that was what was most important to us but different to all the others!

This is the third house we have built in Australia and probably the best one yet. In general the builders we’d been working with were good and reliable with high Australian standards. But South Coast Homes/G.N.Williams Builders stand out. After the first consultation, Brad Williams with his honest approach had already gained our trust. The feeling that here is someone we can work together with to achieve something important to the both of us, not just someone trying to sell his services. As the owners we wanted value for money, and as a builder they needed to run a business, but we shared a common goal - to build a beautiful and well-constructed house. They realise that owners of the house may change with time but the builder’s name is with the house forever. We’re impressed with the design by South Coast Homes and Daniel - we loved it at first sight. We regret that we had to make some changes to suit our budget and our traditional beliefs. We appreciated the detailed explanations about the tasks and the changes we wanted, provided by Mathew Anderson (project manager), to help us make informed decisions. He was always ready to give professional advice when asked for. In hindsight, we should have asked for his expert advice more frequently. We also had several discussions about the project with site manager Jimmy Brennan. A man of few words, we were always given short and concise answers which were reassuring that they could be properly done. We appreciate his attention to detail, which were not obvious on quite a few occasions and would have easily been overlooked. Since we had access to the construction site anytime with our builder, we had opportunities to observe the progress from the beginning when the piers were poured, to the completion one year later. Our rented accommodation was nearby so we would go to the site almost every day. The staff let us watch when they were working, being confident with the quality of their work and that there was nothing to hide. It’s reasonable to state that we know our house from the inside out, we know how the double brick walls were built, how the suspended concrete slab was poured, how the tiles were laid, where internet, speakers, wires etc were run. Last but not least we want to say thank you to Emma Boles in the office. She effectively coordinated the project, handled our (and others) not-unusually unrealistic demands/ complaints with pleasant manners. We can’t imagine a more difficult job to do We are pleased with the house and believe that G.N.Williams are as well. The construction also impresses our neighbours, some of who happen to be in the construction business. It’s not perfect because there’s nothing perfect in life. Mistakes were made but more importantly they were identified and corrected to our satisfaction. Job Well done. Dr Tien Chu

South Coast Homes were an absolute pleasure to deal with. They were flexible, friendly and approachable. From their administration to site supervisors and tradesmen, we could not have asked for a better company to build our dream home with. Our finished product is amazing and we could not thank them enough. The design gives and WOW factor and the finishes are show home quality.

I had my home designed and built by South Coast Homes. I cannot speak highly enough of the personal service, excellent communication and quality of the home that I received upon handover. The finish of my home is of the same high standard presented in their display home. I asked for a few minor changes during the building process, which were accommodated without fuss. I was encouraged to be heavily involved in the design process. The result is a home that maximises views and incorporates an abundance of natural light.

From the moment I met Ian from South Coast Homes I felt confident. There was no grey areas. Ian provided a cost with all the inclusions we wanted and didnt ask for another cent. When the build started the communication was excellent I always knew where they were at and what was coming up. The programming and organisation of works was outstanding. The attention to detail throughout the build was also outstanding. Ian gave me a time frame and was right on time. There inclusions are of the highest quality. South Coast Homes were an absolute pleasure to deal with and being our first house we had built we had heard a lot of nightmare stories when building a home, but Ian and his team made it very enjoyable and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to build. Now that we are moved in I cannot fault the house in any way. There are no problems.
