“I contacted Lori Murphy of Element One Home Staging to give color and design change for the renovation of a house I was cleaning up to sell. The color and redesign suggestions she made surprised me. The vision she had, made a totally dramatic change in the house. The house when listed, was in contract for over the list price in under one day. I had a second house I had listed and had been trying to sell for over two years. I again called Lori of Element One Home Staging for assistance in the staging. She suggested a few color and décor changes and removal of items from/to other areas. She then went in and moved the furniture around, putting designs and décor where they needed to be, setting this house up as a show house in under a day. The following weekend the house was re-listed and again in under one day I had multiple offers, even though I had raised the asking price from the price I originally had set for the house two years prior. In the last two years I had been dropping the price every other month in hopes of getting offers and selling. After the minor changes and the creative staging done by Lori, I was able to close in under a month for above the increased asking price. I have since asked her to help with the redesign of my personal house, just to make it look newer and cleaner. “We did a consultation with Teresa from Eye4Design in 11.2019 in preparation for putting our house on the market 1.2020. We paid consultation fee only rather than opting to rent furniture or artwork from them and she was fine with that. She explained if we did consult only rather than paying them for staging, it’d be up to us to take notes during the consult and she had her iPad to mark up photos if needed. She made so many suggestions that I wouldn’t have even thought of and I am HGTV obsessed. “I worked with Jane to do a redesign/refresh of my kitchen and family room. We anticipate a remodel in the next 3 years that would include the kitchen so we took a budget approach to the kitchen area. We replaced lighting, and some countertops, painted the kitchen base and wall cabinets (replacing the wall cabinet doors, replaced handles and painted a wall. Our family room work was also budget conscious with function being the priority. We have five dogs so we incorporated crates for each and made decisions on fabrics and the rug with ease of cleaning and durability in mind. We are so pleased!
