“I wanted to create a retro vibe in a new home for me and my three young children. I am the owner of a small graphic design business which means I have an appreciation of colour, layout, and the visual aspects of my home. While wanting to create a stylish home I also wanted it to be comfortable place for the kids. I was too busy to create the interior and source the homewares myself and I was lucky enough to hear about Penelope through a mutual friend. Penelope was recommended to me because of her ability to work creatively with the needs of her clients, not just design what’s modern and on-trend. Penelope quickly understood what I wanted and suggested ideas, surfaces, fabrics, and colours suitable for an adult space that’s shared with three energetic children. She also sourced a couple of retro pieces of furniture that are perfect feature pieces. Our new space is a great blend of sophistication and fun with a mid-century modern and 60’s retro feel. My three kids were included in some of the discussions around their own spaces, which they really appreciated. I am very happy with the results, I now have a stylish home that I love and the kids enjoy being at. Penelope was a dream to deal with and it was a fuss-free and communicative process where we both listened to each other. Penelope has my sincere thanks and I recommend her highly.”
