I'm here to help, as an interior designer/ decorator and even a project manager helping to oversee interior renovations for homes and investment properties and also for people looking to style their homes to sell. I have decades of experience in home building and renovations so I can also smooth the way between you and your builder. Best of all. I can help you end up with a home that looks better than your favourite Houzz pages, and really reflects your personality. All on that tight budget you're so worried about! I have good kitchen company contacts and a wealth of experience in finishes. If you're unsure of the difference between Calacatta and Carrara, engineered stone, acrylics, laminates, polyurethane, veneers etc and which will best create the kitchen of your dreams, I'm here to help, so don't be overwhelmed into inaction!

After approaching a few engineers and draftsmen for our project we were feeling a little underwhelmed. No one could give an estimate of likely cost or a "most likely" scenario for the build. Bryan Bell was then recommended by a friend and he proved to be the answer to our prayers. Bryan not only gave us the confidence that the job could be done but also was very clear with the cost estimate which (apart from a few extras along the way that we decided on) was pretty close to the actual cost. The project involved removal of most of the ground floor walls (including primary load-bearing walls), installation of new structural support beams, new windows, new wall and ceiling linings, new timber flooring, new kitchen and associated plumbing, electrical and air conditioning work. The project was finished on time and on budget. Bryan's professionalism during the demolition and construction phase was of the highest order. Karen's styling input towards the end of the project was also very useful in helping us achieve the modernized home we were after. We could not be happier with the end result and have no hesitation in recommending Bell Development and Design (in fact we have already referred two of our friends to Bryan and they wont be the last!!).

We contracted Bryan and Karen from Bell Development and Design to undertake a renovation of our kitchen, family room and bathroom. The house was built in the 80's and had the slate floor, exposed brick and timber kitchen of the time. This has now been replaced by timber floors and a modern white kitchen and walls. The bathroom is now also modern and beautifully finished. They turned out to be the perfect combination for us, with Karen designing and Bryan and his team carrying out the work. Bryan and Karen discussed every step of the job and were able to work together to achieve the look and quality we are so happy with. Having a designer on board may sound like an extravagance but she made the whole process enjoyable and the finished product perfect. She was also surprisingly affordable! Karen sourced and helped find all the finishing products, from tiles, to blinds to cushions and we shopped together to find all the perfect finishes. I could not have done it without her. The new kitchen was designed and built by Burraneer Bay Kitchens but overseen by Bryan and his team. The team is made up of very experienced tradesmen who have been working for Bryan for many years. We were given a realistic time line for the renovation and much care was taken as we lived onsite while work was going on. Bryan and his team were very professional, the job was completed on time and we could not be happier with the result. We now have a modern, functional home that we are very proud of. Bryan and Karen have an amazing eye for detail, design and quality and we would have no hesitation in recommending Bell Development.

Bell Development and Design created our dream home in Caringbah South, from design to completion of the project with Bryan Bell as project manager and Karen Bell as the designer. Bryan supervised, coordinated and managed all involved trades; electricians, plumbers, tillers, plasterers, carpenters and painters. Karen's experience and research ability in finding furniture, art and accessories for our revamped home was superior. She also designed the layout and colour scheme for our bathroom and was influential in finding the appropriate fittings and fixtures. Lots of shopping trips with Karen was a fun part of this project! It all began with a consultation session with Bryan and Karen in July 2014. It was supposed to be a half hour chat, but turned into a three hour discussion and we signed off an agreement to proceed with the renovation project. The end result is that we now have a home that is exceeding our expectations in terms of livability, style and quality. This would not have been achieved without Bell Development and Design’s advice, design and professional assistance. Karen and Bryan provided outstanding services at every stage of this project. We have no hesitation in recommending the Bell Team to anyone looking to do a renovation, extension or simply to spruce up their home. Ingrid and Roland Persson

I can work to an hourly rate or a price - whichever you prefer, and I charge half-rate for time spent at my desk when sourcing for your home, so all in all I represent a very small and valuable percentage of your renovation budget.
