We visited Jean Christophe's showroom to view lighting and were so impressed with his knowledge and enthusiasm he helped us style our whole house. He really had a big picture view which is something we struggled with. I was really impressed with his patience as I was constantly changing my mind. Jean Christophe would not let you choose something that did not work. We found Jean-Christophe via his website after a fruitless search for quality French pieces in Melbourne. We met Jean-Christophe in Sydney and were immediately convinced we had found the person we needed. In the end almost every piece of furniture or fabric in our holiday home was supplied via Jean-Christophe and we couldn't be happier. Jean-Christophe travelled down from Sydney to personally install many of the pieces and became a family friend in the process. It's been several years since the house was decorated but we still get a thrill every time we open the front door.

We have had Jean-Christophe design and manufacture several furniture pieces over many years. Our dining room setting and chairs, 2 x book cases, coffee table, side tables, printer and filing cabinet and the provision of some rugs and sofa coverings and cushions. He has also quoted on a range of things we are yet to purchase but intend to as we continue to renovate our +120 year home in Woollahra. His French style is exactly what we want for our home and he makes really interesting and well considered recommendations that have always resulted in us being very satisfied with the end product.

Jean-Christophe found beautiful pieces that perfectly complimented our living space. He has a skillful and expert understanding of the task at hand, an eye for detail and seems to possess a knack for suggesting clever solutions to design problems. The pieces included an elegant Louis XV 3 door sideboard, handmade which he customised with a trim to suit the decor of the living space. I found his service to be extremely professional, helpful and was very satisfied with the result in our home. Highly recommended.

I contacted Jean-Christophe, the designer behind Christophe living, about three years ago to design and furnish my lounge and dining room. I am retired and live in a small town outside Melbourne and as he travels regularly From Sydney to Melbourne he had no trouble in coming to visit. He immediately understood what I needed and came up with so many great ideas. I had worked with designers before and often felt unhappy as to how they wanted to impose their ideas on me. With Jean-Christophe it was the opposite, he somehow was able to translate what I wanted into a great design. He supplied a dining suite and some of the lounge furniture. The quality and craftsmanship is really amazing. The chairs are made in Italy and he polished them to match the table that was made in his Sydney workshop. In the lounge, as I was attached to my old sofa he came up with the suggestion to recover them. I was thrilled and saved money. He said as the quality of the sofas was very good it would be worth it. He suggested the Louis wingback armchair and it has become my total favourite, he mentioned that it would great for me as its very comfortable yet easy to get in and out of it. I now call it the queen's chair and everyone knows to leave it for me! His after service is also great, I feel I can cal him for any questions I might have and I always feel he has all the time in the world to answer. I had to get a cushion recovered due to some damage and as he had some of the same fabric he did it at no cost. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a friendly, intuitive and personalised approach to interior design and great quality of craftsmanship. SJ
