Coastal Origins

Hi, I'm Elena Petersen, my mission is to create space specifically for you, an area that suits your lifestyle, personality and meets all your criteria. I am passionate and enthusiastic about achieving a result you will love. I've been surrounded by furniture and homewares for most of my career (25 years) mainly in the retail and merchandising industry. Achieving my cert IV in visual merchandising at a young age was my introduction for designing beautiful setting/rooms and vignettes. To further my qualifications I completed studies at the International School of Colour and Design which helped me to bring my skills into peoples homes. Coastal Origins was founded in 2018 when the popular "Hamptons" Style was all the rage. We live in such a multi cultural country however, no matter what your origin, a touch of coastal can always be incorporated. It is amazing to see the differences and similarities when comparing coastal schemes from around the word, they all have something which makes them unique. My goal however is to show diversity and individuality, to achieve a specific look using textures, patterns, colour and other elements that's just right for you. Traditional, Mid Century, Rustic, Provincial, Industrial.... or a bit of a mish mash of all of the above.
