When my wife and I decided to renovate our adjacent two bedroom flats and combine them into one large unit, we struggled to find a design agency locally who we felt we would share our vision and develop our concepts without our having to accept preconceived ideas. We were then introduced to Carole Trethewey and her Team and were impressed by their enthusiasm and willingness to develop and expand our suggestions, in many cases improving upon them, and producing what can only be described as a stunning result. Having worked in the industry in Noosa for some years, Carole has obviously developed many contacts, suppliers and local experience which enabled any problems to be quickly solved, whilst displaying a high degree of professionalism in everything she undertook. When my husband and I bought our 1980s three bedroom brick home 10 years ago, we were simply happy to have entered the property market. Now in 2018, we were ready to upgrade our small house into a more modern and beautiful beachside home. As full-time working parents of three children however, to say we are time poor when it comes to sifting through possible interior ideas and designing our renovation would be putting it mildly. Thankfully, we found Carole and her team. Apart from a seemingly never-ending wealth of creative design ideas from wallpaper installation and soft furnishings to renovation plans, Carole was simply a delight to work with. With an incredible eye for detail and creativity, she was consistent in working with our vision and within our budget. The professionalism of Carole and her team and their dedication and kindness throughout the transformation of our home was both comforting and justified- our home now looks and feels amazing! I can not recommend Carole and her team highly enough and am actually looking forward to our next renovation and/or build, knowing I have someone like her to call on! I am so proud of my new home and I know that much of this is owed to the way in which she has fashioned our needs and vision into a beautiful reality.

We contacted Carole Tretheway Design to work with us to make our lounge room more functional. The brief was to make it comfortable, coastal and a bit quirky. Carole and her team achieved our outcome and we couldn’t have been happier with the end result. Living interstate, we needed on the ground project management for our renovation. From the inception of the renovation plans to its completion Carole ensured that the project ran to time and to budget. Carole's experience and good judgment made design decisions easy. She listened well, so she understood our needs and was able to deliver what we wanted. Choosing Carole and her team was the best decision we made.

Working with Carole on our new build has been an amazing experience. From the first visit to her studio to the time we walked into our fully furnished home Carole has been attentive, creative and responsive. If I showed Carole a photo of something I liked whether fabric or furnishings she could source it for me. And that which she couldn't find (our king size bed frame) she had custom made. She worked closely with our architect and builder in a way that enhanced the already stunning work they had done. When we arrived straight off the plane Carole was waiting for us at the house. There were sheets on the bed, towels in the bathroom and flowers on the table. We were able to put down our suitcases and begin living in our dream home immediately. It will be a pleasure to continue working with Carole as we start adding accessories and additional furniture we have found we need now that we are living in the house.

Carole Tretheway and her team have been excellent in several assignments for us over the past 9 years, including designing and supervising a major renovation of our apartment in 2008. We have always been delighted with the flair and skill shown by Carole and her team and the close attention given to ensuring each assignment is completed to highest standard. CTD were recommended to my husband and me by close friends, following my purchase of a 3 bedroom Noosa apartment .We commenced discussions in April,2017 and were impressed with CTD's professional approach to planning the renovations which included new kitchen ,bathrooms, laundry, replacement of carpet with tiling and installation of plantation shutters throughout. Plumbing and power had to be planned & executed and repainting the apt. As an interstate absentee owner it was vital to have clear concise lines of communication at all times & CTD produced excellent architectural plans ,steered the project through Council and Strata managers, recommended an excellent builder and managed the 3 month project from start to finish on time and on budget.

We recently commissioned Carole Tretheway (CT) Design on a full refurbishment of our home at Peregian Beach which we have owned for nearly 20 years. We had some general ideas about bringing the house up-to-date but Carole immediately saw its potential, suggesting a single structural change to the doors facing the sea view that has totally transformed the house. The property needed a total revamp and one completely new bathroom. Carole and her team have been our project managers for every step; from the structural engineer, appointing a builder and managing the building contract, AV systems, air conditioning, pool repairs, lighting and landscape gardening to all aspects of the interior design, including furniture, window treatments, and linen and kitchen packages, all completed within a clearly stated budget. While we have been abroad during the project, CT Design has kept us fully informed of progress via email with weekly (often daily) updates accompanied by clear photos, diagrams and plans. Carole is happy to discuss the smallest detail or deal with major design decisions herself depending on the client's preference. Carole has unparalleled experience and knowledge when it comes to Sunshine Coast building and design. She and her team are a pleasure to deal with and we are delighted with the end result.

While based overseas, we commissioned CT Design to design and project manage a complete reconstruction of our residencial property. The scope of services included sketch design, all council approvals, detail design, tender for builders and exterior land scape contractors, contract administration and most importantly interior design. We were impresed with the final result. Carole converted our house into a homely, relaxed and at the same time modern beach house. When we arrived in September last year, the house was furnished and equipped to the last imaginable detail. Well done Carole and the whole CT Design team! Wonderful job.

We have worked with Carol Tretheway Design for the past five years in the design and implementation of our home. Meetings were held during short trips to The Sunshine Coast from California. Carole Tretheway Design has carried out two refurbishment projects to our house in Noosa Heads - kitchen and bedroom/bathroom. Carole is so knowledgeable and very well respected in her field. She is calm and competent, carrying out the work without fuss and stress - all to budget and deadlines. Our small kitchen was impractical and badly laid out. Carole's experience enabled her to interpret our needs and design a space that works beautifully. Our original bedroom had a studio room at one end that was never used. We knew that this would be a beautiful area for a bathroom because it opened onto a small balcony via sliding doors and had lots of light. However, moving the bathroom from its existing space to a new room and changing the bedroom around to work with it was quite a challenge. Carole's knowledge of interior architecture was crucial as she was able to give us a room that met with all practical aspects and created a beautiful bedroom and bathroom. Carole always listens to 'what the client wants'. She never pushes her own style or agenda onto a project - just gently persuasive when she feels the need. People who visit our house say its the best bedroom they've ever seen!

Carole is the principal of Carole Tretheway Design and has 27 years experience in the design field, on the Sunshine Coast, where she opened her design studio three years ago, and nationally. Her qualifications include a Masters degree in Furniture and Timber Design I have worked with Carole on two major re-design projects in my home. One of Carole's strengths is her diligence in communication when the client is not on-site - she was constantly updating and discussing the project with me - this was very valuable in assuring me that the project was under competent control. I was able to leave several design decisions in her hands, with confidence. As we were unable to live in the house while renovations were ongoing, and were in fact overseas for that time, this was a great asset. Another of her strengths is the network of professionals she has built - she gets the best out of them, or she doesn't use them. Carole has been a continuing source of backup and information long after the project finished and has rectified some minor problems promptly.
