She selected the colours of both the exterior and interior of the house, picked the window/door colours, tiles, lights, bathroom décor and hardware and took me around to places that sold the products. Her charge was very reasonable and because I bought from the stores she recommended, I received trade prices. A real win-win. My house has extra challenges, as it is in a high bushfire zone (BAL 29) and is built on a very tight budget. When I have visitors, everyone remarks on the house, how the textures and colours fit in with the landscape and how the interior feels stylish, yet homely. I feel really privileged to live in such a wonderful setting and in a beautifully presented home. I can’t recommend her highly enough.”

“Jane just gets it. She's easy to work with, no drama, and she's a great communicator. Jane listened carefully to my input, then came up with creative ideas based on our conversation that I would never have thought of. It sometimes took me a while to get comfortable with these out-of-the-box ideas – I’ll never forget the look on the painter’s face when he asked me if I was really sure about this colour. But, in the end, she had really got it right. Amazingly, much of the job was done remotely. Jane lives 200 kms away. She came to the house once; and I met her at her place twice for consultations. When it was all done, I was amazed at how well she’d pulled everything together. Jane was relentless in ensuring the optimal solution given any constraints that I may have placed in terms of budget or taste. She was always on the job, and often rang with new materials or ideas when she’d been out and about. And finally, she was always accessible, whether over email/phone/in-person whenever I needed to resolve/clarify any issues. It is very satisfying to walk into my house and feel like the space truly reflects my personality, and not some design catalogue.”
