“We engaged Bury and Kirkland to design a new kitchen in our Federation house that has undergone numerous renovations. The original kitchen space was the old "U" shape with a corner pantry (yep, had to go). Bury and Kirkland created a totally open and functional kitchen in a difficult space and totally transformed the way our whole family felt about cooking, eating and being in our living space. I finally was able to be in my kitchen looking out on our beautiful view of the Derwent River rather than feeling tucked away in the corner facing a wall. Bury and Kirkland also created a brilliant slider pantry that has great space and operates as part of the kitchen when open but neatly slides away when not in use. The creative use of timber and fresh white ensured a perfect connection between the old and the new of the house. Bury and Kirkland worked efficiently with all of the trades and kept the job perfectly on time and had as little effect on our family as possible.
