The studio is led by a qualified interior architect with over 18 years experience in the field, she has worked with a number of prestigious architecture and design firms in Melbourne and London before establishing KCD in 2017.
Specialising in bespoke residential interiors, KCD works on projects throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria. Guided by a strong interest in period style architecture, traditional floor plans are often re-shaped into more open, flowing, light filled spaces that suit modern family living. We look to bring a unique, timeless aesthetic to all projects, enhancing the way our clients live.
Our design concepts are based our clients’ individual brief and character. It’s about getting you and the way you want to live from idea to reality. Interpreting your brief and managing the design process from conception to completion, to allow you to have the living environment you have always imagined with ease is our aim.
Design elements such as flow, space, light, colour, scale, detail, texture and material are all carefully considered to produce bespoke workable design solutions with enduring appeal. The surrounding environment is carefully considered, whether that is new or existing architecture from any period.
We enjoy working collaboratively with other project team members such as building designers, architects, building surveyors, town planners, joiners and builders.
