My husband and I recently downsized and moved to a beachfront apartment and needed help to design the apartment to suit our lifestyle. Our designer Cris was amazing; she listened to our ideas, inspired us and picked out items that worked well within the space and complemented each other. Cris has brought our vision together beautifully and effortlessly, all within our allocated budget. We LOVE how everything works so well together (the furniture, rugs and artwork). The outcome is beyond what we ever could have achieved on our own and saved us time and money. We get so many compliments from family and friends. Cris is not just a talented designer, she is a wonderful person; patient, creative, collaborative and open to incorporating ideas and feedback. I found Cris on Houzz and after reading her reviews, I knew she would be the right person to help me style my new Airbnb. Cris is delightful and very easy to work with. She made the challenge of bringing Kyalba Cottage to a place that would appeal to travellers, both fun and exciting. We ‘interviewed’ at least 5 other designers and then we met Cris. She simply got us and our needs from the first time we met her. She adapted to the style we were looking for with her skills and did not try to manoeuvre us to her preferred thoughts which we completely respected. We continue to have a wonderful and collaborative relationship with Cris and our home would not be anywhere near as beautiful today without her.

It is with great pleasure that I write this review of Cris Edwards and Mannigan Edwards. I recently bought a high-end apartment in Broadbeach to make my home after living in Los Angeles for a number of years. I wanted to make it truly special. It not only had to be a place that I could call home, it had to feel relaxed, refined and calm. I wanted it to reflect who I am as well to capture the relaxed beachfront lifestyle that I am so blessed to enjoy. I interviewed three designers but settled on Cris because she clearly got what I wanted right away. Most importantly, she bought tons of great ideas to the table right from the start. Cris is as talented and creative as she is nice. The entire project took about three months and I enjoyed every second of it. Her attention to detail was phenomenal. Her genuine care for making sure that I got what I wanted rather than just "completing the task" was obvious throughout. Cris genuinely loves "why" she is doing it rather than just "what" she is doing. That's the hard bit to find on most professionals today. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is a uniquely talented designer but above all else, she is a great person who gets people and how we actually live in our homes (or aspire to).

We employed Cris in the renovation of our apartment at the Sunshine Coast, and are thrilled with the result. We really wanted to use Cris, as we had seen her work in 2 other homes, but we were unsure how it would work with the distance. The project involved 2 site visits, and numerous phone calls, emails and photos. Cris is great value because she is really fast and efficient, drawing on a wealth of experience, flair and creativity. From the first site visit, my husband and I felt very comfortable with the classic style Cris suggested, making the whole renovation experience so much less stressful. it was a team effort with outstanding results. I highly recommend Cris. She is not your average interior designer. I have tried to engage designers before and they just don't listen. The unique thing about Cris is that she spends quality time upfront getting to know you and how you like to live so that the suggestions she makes suit you, your family, your personality and your way of life! This is very rare as past designers I have used have tried to impose their style on me, rather than taking time to understand me as the client and how I like to move around the spaces in my house. In addition, not only is her style is exciting and refreshing, she is a hell of a lot of fun to work with. Cris styled 2 apartments for me recently in 2 completely unique styles, both of which suited the layout and nature of the apartments. The feedback I have had on her work is fantastic.

Cris helped us transform our townhouse from bland and boring to stylish and warm. She listened to all our concerns and was able to bring in fresh creative ideas to compleate our vision.
