Thank you, your kind and generous words are humbling and both Lucy and I are so grateful for you taking the time to write a review.
Your brother Andrew became a good friend and confidant over our years working together, we miss him terribly.
He sense of humour, his love of eclectic music genres and his passion for politics and trade unions meant for interesting and varied conversations over a glass of wine, Lucy and I learnt so much from him.
Lucy and I loved that he needed us, we loved working with him and bringing the apartment of his dreams to his reality.
We admired his insistence to work with artisans, he choose creatives whom made products using their own hands... he would always choose "hand made" over factory produced...he would find and collect people and artefacts on his travels and we would incorporate them into the apartment.
We are saddened with his passing, however, it has meant we got to meet you and Carol, and for that, we are so happy to have you in our lives now.

We are disappointed that you have decided to make your opinions public, as you have, we will take the time to reiterate what we have already discussed at length.
Our initial consult is clearly stated as $450 for 90mins. If the consult goes over the 90mins, because you have asked us to give advice in other rooms outside the original scope of works at the appointment, the time there after is charged, it is not free.
You did ask for addition advice and thus the time was chargeable.
This is mentioned in our T & C’s, on our Investment of services, on our quotes and on our invoices.
There is an assumed acknowledgement and acceptance that extra time and services will be charged for.
To put this into a simular scenario If you engage an electrician or plumber to come to your property to complete 3 tasks , then you ask them to do 2 extra jobs…they will charge and invoice you for the extra time and materials.
Designers, decorators, doctors, lawyers and time plus materials operators of the like charge this same way.
Due to the personal referral from a former designer, Sarah made herself available to assist sourcing your decorating items, setting aside her larger projects and clients to personally look after your requirements and very tight timeframe.
The projects we are regularly working on are between one hundred and five hundred thousand dollars and take months to complete. We don’t have any issues with our client satisfaction rating or our administration processes or procedures.
On small projects when only a few items are required the amount of money saved by using a decorator or designer and applying their trade discount is marginal and often the value is not appreciated. The benefit of the trade discounts comes into effect the more items you buy.
As a gesture of good faith, we passed on our trade pricing - this is not something we ordinarily do.
The lessons learned here for us, is that we won’t be pressured to change our processes and procedures to accommodate and prioritise a new project over our own existing fee paying clients and to listen to our intuition.
We are confident with the services we provide and that our relationships with our clients are long standing as they return year after year to update and upgrade their homes.

Apologies for the miscommunication regarding the location of the rugs. We had moved these out of the way for photography since they were coming immediately after we finished styling and wanted to make the process smooth for the photographer and agent when they arrived. We have made a procedure to ensure we avoid this going forward.
We are glad to hear that you were so pleased with our 24 hr turn around and the look and feel that our furniture, art and accessories brought to the property.
