We specialise in the lighting design of homes of all sizes and look forward to transforming your home with the right lighting plan. Our lighting consultants guide you through the lighting design process, answering all of your questions about light, providing expert advice for your home. I've worked with Adele at Mint Lighting on a number of projects both domestic and commercial. Adele has always offered the highest level of service, and always in a professional but fun and relaxed environment. It is impossible to stress how important good lighting is to any project. Good lighting in a technical sense, coupled with the right feel and ambience as desired by the client is imperative - Hands down lighting can make or break a project. There are so many alternatives to just downlights! Adeles approach to working with her clients to achieve great lighting outcomes - is always relaxed, professional and exceptionally precise. Right from the initial concept through to detailed calculations and specification the journey with Adele is always transparent, measured and fully resolved. If any queries occur at anytime; an answer is all but immediate and Adele will never leave anything unresolved. I always enjoy working with Adele and would have no hesitation trusting and recommending her for any lighting project no matter how big or small.

Mint lighting design was engaged to offer a full lighting design service from concept through to supply of light fittings. Adele's deep knowledge and understanding of lighting design helped us to take the project to a next level. Her involvement has helped us immensely all the way through the renovation. I have known Adele Locke from MINT Lighting in a professional capacity for a number of years. We have worked together on a range of projects and I have admired her professional attributes and her advocacy role as President of The Victorian and Tasmanian Chapter of The Lighting Society IES. MINT Lighting and DiMase Architects collaborated on a residential project at Woorarra West in regional Victoria. Adele provided lighting expertise to this project and at every stage provided sound advice and options for the client to make informed choices on specific lighting selections and lighting layout. Adele’s knowledge of lighting for the domestic market is second to none. She understands colour temperature, light levels, control systems, how to use lighting to highlight architectural features, how to create mood and integrate lighting with day lighting opportunities. These are significant skills and Adele occupies a segment of the market that is under represented by lighting designers and not well understood by architects and homeowners. As such her services provide a valuable skill set to architects, homeowners and builders who need to navigate their way through an increasing complex area of new technology, environmental standards and user expectations. Mint Lighting designed the lighting for my two bedroom apartment at Docklands. The apartment was ten years old when I moved in, so we re-painted it, and Mint agreed that I should paint it in the pure white original color: that let them play with the exact color of all the lights. Then we had fun looking at options. In all cases we started with the basic question, "What do you want to see?" The lighting solutions were practical and the results are wonderful. The place now has a very comfortable modern feel. The main light over the dining table is positioned so that from our island bench kitchen we look straight out under the lamp and the light doesn't get in our eyes as we watch TV from the kitchen, or if we are in the kitchen and talking to people sitting at the table. It's extremely tightly focused on the round dining table, so that people sitting there for dinner see the food very clearly but don't have light in their eyes. Another light lands on my new sofa and picks up the colors perfectly. The kitchen is lit by what appear to be very soft puddles in the ceiling, but the light that lands on the preparation bench is very even and clear and it's easy to see everything we are cooking. Adele was easy and fun to work with, and the result is lighting that I could never have designed myself. The costs were very reasonable, including lamps sourced by Mint Lighting.
