At MKG Interior Design my philosophy is client focused, presenting inspired concepts and ensuring a process that is collaborative. I take the time to understand the desires and needs of my clients combined with my expertise and creativity. As a passionate and experienced building and interior designer, I enjoy the process of developing concepts and partnering with trusted resources and craftsmen to achieve beautiful interior design for each of my unique projects. My client’s needs and personality are at the forefront of my residential interior design planning processes. Creating timeless spaces that will remain stylish, beautiful and functional for many years requires attention to detail and a tailored approach to each client, whether I am running the project or I am the consulting interior designer on your project. It is my goal as your interior designer, to create elegant, modern, and luxurious spaces through well-coordinated processes and partnerships with builders, sub-contractors, vendors and craftsman that allow my client to enjoy the conceptual and installation phases of the project while I ensure that the interior design project is successful and completed beautifully and on time. The interior design development process involves interior design conceptualization, architectural and space planning development, refining interior design concepts, selection of interior decorator finishes and materials, and final presentation and review with client. MKG Interior Design is experienced in construction management, which is essential for all interior design projects, especially those that require residential interior design modifications to the architecture or interior architecture of the home. MKG Interior Design provides full-service interior design and is experienced in all complex phases of the interior design processes.

We honestly could not have survived our 5 month renovations without Monika. Monika’s advice saved us so many boo boos and so much money!! It’s not what you know but where you know to get it!! Monika was recommended by a very good friend and the first thing I loved was the confident decision making. Monika was present for our first big decisions.... carpet and blinds. She recommended the last thing we thought we would pick and now that it’s all installed it is the best thing we have ever done. People walk in and rave about the colour scheme. Monika’s building knowledge has impressed us. We have tried to think well we are engaging Monika so let’s just go for the ride. Furniture, bedding, lighting.... all not what we would have chosen but we LOVE IT. Monika had our end result in mind and it felt like she was 110% committed and put up with SOS messages at odd hours and even some renovation marriage counseling Oh what a ride but the destination / end result is worth it When I recommend Monika to a friend I talk about her decisiveness, how she has helped us find the perfect things at a great price and her eye for detail, with design and building works.

The decision I made to hire Monika from MKG Designs to help me with my whole house renovation was one of the smartest things I did on my project. I initially thought it was a bit of an indulgence to have a designer, but her service and value went above and beyond what I expected a designer to provide. Initially Monika stood out from the other designers that I had interviewed, because she offered her first consult free of charge, and she picked up on what my style was leaning towards without me actually being aware of it. She brought me samples, provided pictures of ideas, and helped me make decisions, so I saved a huge amount of time and stress compared to doing it on my own. She created layouts of rooms to make the most of the space both functionally and aesthetically. She listened to our concerns and wishes, likes and dislikes. She was mindful of our budget and tried to offer the most cost efficient option wherever possible, and she passed on her trade discounts which saved us a lot of money and essentially paid for her service in the end. She was always most approachable and nothing was ever too much effort for her. Monika gave us the courage to make design decisions that we would not have been able to make on our own. The end result of all her work is a house that we LOVE living in. We are given so many compliments on our home when people come over. The spaces she created are an absolute pleasure to be in and love coming home to admire them! I would absolutely recommend Monika if you are looking for an interior designer that is very reasonably priced and stands out from the crowd in terms of service and design. Lisa

I can't thank Monika enough for taking on the project of renovating my home and finishing this in time and on budget, and all with the least amount of inconvenience to myself. She is a thorough professional - very knowledgeable and extremely helpful !! She met me multiple times to get the concept right, came up with the designs and quotations quickly, answered all my queries promptly and to my satisfaction, offered very reasonable rates and helped me decide on what I wanted. All this before even the project started ! On commencement of the project, she helped choose all tradespeople, co-ordinated and supervised the works and provided me regular updates. No suggestion or request was too difficult, no problem was too big to overcome, all changes were accommodated. I can't speak highly enough about her calm demeanour, great attitude wanting to do the best for me and excellent project skills. My experience with MKG is nothing but excellent I would never do this my self and I watched lots of renovations tv programs and thought that they do fabulous job but what was done by MKG was fabulous, professional and very beautiful. The price was also very reasonable and I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for improvement or renovation. I am Extremely happy with the results.
