Founded by award-winning interior designer Maryanne van der Reijden, MvdR is becoming one of the most in demand design companies in Melbourne. MvdR design is a boutique building and renovation design business that is passionate about creating warm spaces that work well. We can provide a full service for your home from initial floor plan design, project management to the finishing touches. Maryanne has been fantastic in advising and project managing a refresh of my home. As someone living on their own, I wasn’t really sure where to start after returning to Melbourne after 11 years living overseas. Maryanne prepared a very thoughtful indeed, inspiring initial report, chock full of ideas and options, and we took it from there. Maryanne has a great eye for colour and design, unbounded energy, patience, and determination. She introduced me to and engaged an excellent range of professionals and tradespeople. And directly sourced a range of furnishings and accessories at very good prices. She has been careful with costs, and ensured things progressed at the pace we agreed. Maryanne has done a terrific job. She is a consummate professional. I am delighted with the results.

We are extremely happy with our recent bathroom/bedroom redesign. Maryanne listened to our 'loose' descriptions of what we like, and turned it into something we love, but could never have created ourselves. And we didn't even have to go to a showroom or shop. Maryanne developed a folder of photos to confirm - and then delivered the package deal. We were 100% happy at the reveal!

From the moment we met Maryanne we knew we found someone who understood what we wanted but at the same time could introduce us to ideas and concepts we wouldn't have ordinarily considered. Ours was a full home renovation and Maryanne was with us every step of the way from the design of key rooms like the kitchen to tile and paint selection through to soft furnishings and art selections. She always struck the right balance between staying within budget and getting the most out of every room. Ours was a Hamptons style renovation with modern influences but Maryanne's versatility is evident in the many styles of design she undertakes. Aside from Maryanne's natural flair for design she is a consummate professional and really engages with her client to understand who they are and how the live. She becomes your trusted adviser really quickly. We are so pleased with how things went with Maryanne. She created our dream home for us and we are eternally grateful to her for that.
