“My husband and I engaged Dani Louis Design to help decorate and style our new home. We had a specific budget to work with and a few rooms to execute: main bedroom, entrance, sitting room and lounge room. After the initial consultation, Dani put together visual boards with her ideas for each room. She made suggestions in line with our taste and aesthetics and had great ideas in relation to design and use of space. When we needed to make a couple of changes due to budget constraints, Dani was prompt to come up with suitable alternatives, respecting our opinions and trying to always make us happy. Being a first time owner with not a lot of experience in styling, I found it quite daunting having to make style decisions and Dani took that pressure off. I was also pregnant with our twins, which meant time was limited and the distractions were many so having Dani drive our little project was money well spent. I can confidently say that her warm and professional manner, coupled with a strong passion for design are the reasons behind why we feel so happy in our 'new' rooms! “We have to say upfront, that thanks to Sarah, we have a beautiful home which far exceeded our expectations. There is no way we could have achieved the same result without Sarah’s passion, interior-design flair, expertise and attention to detail. This is the first time we had engaged an interior designer and really didn’t know where to start. I thank my lucky stars that I stumbled across Sarah’s details on Houzz. With some trepidation I phoned Sarah, and from that first conversation she made me feel at ease. Sarah briefly explained the process involved and we set up our first meeting, where we walked Sarah through our house and explained our vision. Our house is over 25 years old and looked tired and dated, and desperately needed a major face lift. We wanted a Scandinavian styled home, and Sarah asked a number of questions to make sure we were all on the same page. Sarah is down-to-earth, and very friendly and we quickly developed a good rapport. Even at this early stage, Sarah provided invaluable advice regarding the interior colour palette and finishes, furniture, and accessories and how we could incorporate some of our existing furniture and sentimental pieces to achieve the style we wanted within our budget. Following this initial meeting, Sarah created a design scheme and concepts for the look and feel of our house to suit a Scandinavian inspired style. We found this provided us with a clear understanding of Sarah's vision for our home and we found it to be invaluable, often referring to it throughout the project. Sarah created a design for our ensuite and family bathroom, changing the floor plan to provide a better flow for the space. She selected all the bathroom fixtures and fittings and custom designed vanities whilst working closely with her team of trades throughout to ensure everything met her vision. Sarah sourced all the furniture for the living room, family room, and bedrooms, carpets, bed linen and accessories for our approval before purchase. Where possible, Sarah’s sourced these items from trade only suppliers which meant that we were able to purchase quality items that were not massed produced, and any trade discounts that Sarah received she passed on to us. This meant that we were able to purchase products at a higher price point and still remain on budget. My husband and I decided very early in the project to trust Sarah’s judgment and design flair. Normally, we always opt for the “safe” options, and are grateful that she encouraged us to move out of our comfort zone, and the results speak for themselves. Sarah is passionate about her work, and works hard to achieve the best outcomes and value for money for her clients. Her design flair and attention to detail is evident in every room throughout our home. She has created inviting and stylish living and family rooms, beautiful and relax-styled bedrooms, and well-designed, modern, luxurious bathrooms. My family and friends are also in awe at the transformation, and I can honestly say that when I look around there is not one thing that I don’t like. One of my favourite pieces is the beautiful bookcase Sarah designed and had custom made to house our glass bird collection. It was been a real delight working with Sarah, she always has her clients best interests at heart. We have no hesitation in recommending her for any project, large or small – you will not be disappointed.”
