From one room to a full new custom home or renovation, we are able to create a design for you that will reflect your lifestyle, your travels, and your individuality. We find that most of our clients have some idea of what interior design styles they like but need help to see the bigger picture of how much better their home could look. They need guidance to find and combine all the different elements so they work together seamlessly and fit their lifestyle and budget. That’s where The Design Chaperone comes in. From a partial makeover to a full home overhaul, we will work with you to create a tailored, stylish and practical living space that you’ll LOVE to come home to. From choosing colours, materials, and finishes, through to furniture, soft furnishings, art and accessories, we’ll bring it all together into a single cohesive, well planned and designed interior scheme. Consistent with Queensland's vast range of property types, our interior design styles cover all types of properties – coastal, suburban, city living, modern and classic.

Lynda is a fabulous interior designer and project manager. She did a complete revamp of our formal areas selecting materials and accessories and organising and corordinating works on and installation of wallpapers, sofa recovering, artworks and carpets.she was wonderful with follow up and when we had an issue with one of our pieces she immediately returned and organised and sorted it. She is reliable has a great eye and listens well to your requirements and wishes. She pulls a vision together and is able to modify to meet the customers expectations and budget. I can highly recommend her.

I have absolutely loved working with Lynda from Design Chaperone from the moment of engagement her understanding of the style I was looking for and the blending with existing furniture that I loved. Her initial proposal was clear, concise and came fully costed making it easy to work through the options and arrive at a final budget. Lynda was amazing! I recently moved into a new house and was feeling overwhelmed and didn't know where to start. I had some items of furniture but needed to know what else I needed. She is very confident and decisive and gave me great ideas of how to set up my living and dining room, including a layout I hadn't considered, use of existing pieces of furniture, and a list of items to buy (including suggestions of where to source them). She listened to what my needs were and gave me lots of useful tips about the best use of the space, window treatments and lighting. At the end of the session I had a floor plan of the layout and a list of items to buy. I'm so relieved to have a plan and now can start the fun part of creating an amazing space. It really was so useful and exceeded my expectations.
