Vivian Panagos Interiors

We engaged Vivian for a major renovation to our Gymea Bay home. Vivian worked with us on floor plan, space requirement, layout of kitchen, main bathroom, en-suite and design concepts for all three areas. The end result is beyond my wildest dreams! I absolutely love what she created for us. I decided to invest in working with Vivian as I knew what style I liked but I didn’t know how to put it all together. Given the size and spend of the renovation it was important to me that it was done well and professionally. After my first meeting with Vivian, I knew that she was the person I wanted to work with. She understood my brief and what I wanted to create. I adore the finishes and fixture she has chosen and often when I open a cupboard or switch on a light I feel like these are little pieces of precious jewellery she put in our house to make it a home. I further engaged Vivian for a full colour consult and master bedroom interior design and styling. Our master bedroom is like a boutique hotel suite and we love lazy weekends when we get to send time relaxing in this space. I would without hesitation recommend Vivian.

Peakhurst South Public School had 21st Century Technology but lacked a room that show cased the technology and most importantly motivated its use. So the project to upgrade the 21st Century Classroom was launched. Vivian volunteered her time to create a design for the room that would inspire optimal use of 21st Century Technology. Vivian showed her true talents when she presented her design to the school leadership and P&C. Everyone was impressed by Vivian’s creativity and the way the design met the needs of the project. The design was approved and Vivian then impressed again by flawlessly executing the design. Vivian liaised and coordinated with suppliers to bring the design to life. In addition, due to a limited budget Vivian and a team of eager volunteers painted the room. The 21st Century Classroom is now finished and truly is an inspirational learning space for the students at our school. We had the fortunate opportunity to have Viv guide us through the design of our new concept kitchen. As a couple with two young boys we were seeking a balance between function and style. We had some strong concepts and ideas that Vivian was able to mould and direct to achieve a stunning result. She was able to manage us well, make suggestions that complemented our thinking without stepping on toes, creating an outcome that was new but familiar at the same time. The layout totally changed from the original. We had the same space but the change in positioning and choice of storage devices made a big difference in the function as well as the look of the kitchen. A simple thing like drawers for plates with loading trays saves your back and makes it quick to pack away, extendable trays that curl into your corner cupboards takes the pain out of finding that less used piece that is urgently needed and stuck at the back. Just roll it out. The fridge was moved to the side of the room which made the splash-back, cooktop; oven and range hood the showcase. Glass framed window display cupboards positioned up high complement the main centre piece. We had a predominately white kitchen but all agreed it needed COLOUR. Viv's suggestion of intricate tiles to bring texture and colour paid off. We agreed on beautiful blue "lantern" tiles for the splash-back, which made the kitchen wall pop. You do need to take a risk from time to time, but it helps to have people around you with good style. My wife Diane has it and so does Vivian. I like to think I do but maybe it rubs off on you. On working with Vivian on the Waterview House project, my family and I had concepts of what we wanted to achieve within the kitchen space, but no real decisions had been made other than the selection of appliances and layout when Vivian came on board. We really didn't know what materials or light fixtures we necessarily wanted to use. Vivian has a natural aptitude in facilitating and nurturing ideas/concepts into something tangible. The end product not only met our expectations, but truly took it to a place we didn't foresee. Vivian was great at putting together a colour palette that simply worked to the features of the kitchen. The assistance with selecting the light coloured paint for the walls complimented the open space, where the silver metallic feature wall in the bar area gave the space a striking industrial feel - this was further complimented with the selection of aluminium bar stools and lighting fixtures. At first we weren't sure if this industrial feel would work for us, but the combination of subtitle elements mixed with the warm inviting wood veneer along the kitchen island and bar really made it an inviting space and a pleasant surprise. Essentially, Vivian supplied us with options, beautifully thought-out options. This was exactly what we wanted, we didn't feel pressured to make a certain choice and it was very much a collaborative approach, which we appreciated. Vivian reminded us that whatever recommendations she made, our choices were at the end of the day ours and we had to love the space we were creating as we would be the ones left to enjoy it. I would without a doubt recommend Vivian to anyone; she was a pleasure to work with.
