We thoroughly enjoyed working with Emma at Whiting Young Interior Design! We chose to work with her for our full house renovation and loved her keen eye so much that we also had Emma help us with home furnishings afterwards. From the beginning we felt comfortable and knew Emma understood the look we were going for. Emma was timely with her work and was always easy to contact in moments of need when anything came up. She has great style and provided the perfect number of design options for us to review and choose from without feeling overwhelming. Emma was mindful of our budget and helped us pick little splurges that would make a big impact in our home and never made us feel pressured. We always felt well supported and in good hands with Emma and know we will love the home she designed for us for many years to come!

I recently worked with Emma on a refresh of my home. Emma did a wonderful job of modernizing and accentuating what we already loved about our house with amazing drapery, wood paneling, and some moody paint. Emma was great at incorporating refined versions of our ideas into her design and we could not be happier with the results.

We had the fortune to have our paths cross with Emma as part of a home reno show! We have never worked with a designer before and now can't imagine doing a reno again without one. My wife and I are still finding new things to appreciate from Emma's design. Things like certain colors that show up in different rooms creates a cohesiveness and flow throughout our main space that we could not have envisioned ourselves. We are looking forward to working with her in the future and can't tell enough people about the incredible space she created for us!

Emma met with us to discuss our kitchen renovation. It is a tricky project as we are moving our kitchen into the living room and living room into the kitchen. She listened to our ideas and converted them to very detailed plans. After very few changes we were ready to move forward. The project will start this spring and we are excited to see Emma’s design work in our home!

My family has had a wonderful experience with Emma Whiting at Whiting Young Interior Design. As busy professionals we had limited time and she made things easy for us by bringing samples to our home. She has excellent taste and nailed the look we were going for pretty quickly. Our project is a second story addition, and Emma also impressed us by coming up with a great layout for the second floor -- one that had not occurred to our family when we were initially trying to sketch out plans. I had the opportunity to work with Emma on total renovation of a historic house recently. Emma is a gem to work with. She has a fantastic eye and her network of contacts came in handy when trying to narrow down the myriad choices for design items that are out there. She's knows what is available and where to find it. Emma managed to understand my vision for the house and was able to help me articulate that vision in everything from tile choices, to hardware, to lighting. Emma is also an artist. Emma was able to provide my suppliers and contractors with water colors or drawings whenever I was having difficulty explaining how I wanted things to look. Getting these drawings were a godsend in that they ensured everyone was on the same page. Not all designers will do this. Some create "look boards" etc., but seeing a painting of what your kitchen will look like in the end, was far better than any look board I've seen. I'd also add that we had no mistakes. Emma did all the elevation drawings for the kitchen, built-ins, baths etc. and for a job this size, it's a miracle we didn't have any issues! I would highly recommend Emma and would definitely hire her for any other designs jobs I have in the future.

I found Emma to be very knowledgeable, and enthusiastic and at the same time, mindful of my budget.. She went out of her way to find samples, best places to find the products in which I was interested , along with the best prices. She was very accommodating when it came to meeting dates and times. She turned what I found to be stressful into a fun and exciting adventure. I would recommend her to anyone.

I connected with Emma to help with my en-suite bathroom renovation and she did a fabulous job both with the design and arranging the contractors. She was very professional and timely and always brought enthusiasm and clarity to the situation.
