“I have a house in west end which was originally a single level 3 bedroom workers cottage. The house was built in underneath 5 years ago and the upper level (original house) was left un touched and rented in its original state. For added income I decided to rent out the lower levels and moved into the upper one. I was struggling with ideas on how to get the original house (over one hundred years old) to blend in and work with the newer, more modern lower levels. I appointed Dani Louis, to initially get ideas on colour schemes, light fittings, kitchen and bathroom layouts etc. Dani, was extremely helpful and full of great ideas. The house has kept some of its original features ie VJ walls etc, but now blends in nicely, mixing old world with new. Dani has tremendous buying power and sources great deals on fittings, fixtures etc and passes on her savings for all items as part of her service, which was amazing because the savings added up to be a lot more than the fee she charged. I am a very happy customer and would highly recommend Dani Louis Design to anybody wanting to undertake any form of renovation or design consultation. This included curtains for 3 bedrooms and our living dining area, bedheads, bedspreads and valances for bedrooms, custom made lounge suite and lounge chair, decorative scatter cushions, outdoor furniture and cushions. “We have just finished renovating the whole of upstairs in our family Queenslander which included the living area, deck, kitchen, study, stairs and landing. My wife and I wanted someone who could help us design the space and manage the project from start to finish. Estelle fit the bill perfectly. She has the technical skills to draw all the kitchen cabinetry and custom built fitted furniture, which included a beautifully made walnut table, chairs and shelving. She has a good eye for colours and soft furnishings and was great at sourcing some lovely pieces for us which included lighting, sofas curtains and rugs. She also helped choose and source all the new kitchen appliances. Estelle has re-imagined the space for us which included moving a door, moving a window, building wall to wall bookshelves, a built in outdoor barbi and completely reconfiguring the kitchen.
