We had a "little person / dwarf" son and he built custom step stools into the cabinetry. I was so impressed with her work that I also used her for my home kitchen remodel. We added new cabinets, backsplash, paint, appliances, and flooring throughout the entire bottom floor. She not only come up with ideas that I would never have thought of, but she also made sure to incorporate my personal design style and personality. She was always sensitive to cost and worked hard to stay within my budget. She also made it very easy to work with all of the contractors, painters, etc. All of the contractors she works with are professional and really care about their work. In most cases, I did not have to deal directly with anyone other than Jeanelle - so easy! Not only did she stick to the timeline given, but was early in some cases. “If you want a contractor who really cares about quality workmanship and who hires qualified, trustworthy and friendly professionals to perform the job, look no further than Lonnie at Home Remodeling Center (HRC) in San Marcos. HRC remodeled our kitchen last summer and the job they did was amazing. They did such a great job, my husband and I used them again for our master bathroom remodel one year later. There is no substitute for skilled craftsmanship and the professionals that Lonnie employs are truly exceptional. HRC performed high quality work at a very competitive price. Jorge, Juan and Christian were the primary team assigned to our kitchen project. They were all so friendly and personable. I wasn’t sure exactly how I wanted the design above my stove to look so Jorge offered to cut pieces of the tile and place the glass accent pieces together like a puzzle on the counter so I could see what they would look like on the backsplash. We both moved them around until we created a design that I liked. Jorge was very patient and I’m extremely happy with the quality of his work. The kitchen backsplash and floor look beautiful and Christian did a great job installing the cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom. Gabriel was the tile specialist for our master bathroom remodel. He made some very creative suggestions and discussed each of them with me before proceeding. His recommendations enhanced the overall aesthetics of the shower, tub, fireplace and floor. Gabriel was an artist! I wanted to be involved in the selection of tiles as they were being laid so I hand-picked each tile and handed them one-by-one to Gabriel. Some people would not have welcomed having someone literally standing over their shoulder handing them the tile to be strategically placed but Gabriel didn’t mind; he was so patient with me. He did an outstanding job and the bathroom is stunning. All of the people at HRC were friendly and helpful. Nora was pleasant and my cats loved her as she verified the measurements for the cabinets. Lonnie and Michelle gave their honest opinions regarding the type of products, designs and installations. When we asked about a particular product, they stated the pros and cons. Michelle provided her expertise as a talented designer. We appreciated their input but we made the final decisions and they respected those decisions. Lonnie was very accessible when we called with questions or concerns. Chris did a great job as Project Manager for our bathroom remodel. He responded quickly to our phone calls and was easy to reach. When a rare issue occurred, it was resolved quickly and professionally. Working with the guys from HRC was a wonderful experience. They became like family. They were courteous and respectful of our home and property. They always laid out their tarps and covered surfaces before starting to work. They cleaned up everything at the end of each day. They kept on schedule and let us know what they would be doing each day. As an extra touch, after our master bathroom was completed, they supplied a house cleaning team to clean our entire house at no charge to us. That was a pleasant surprise! My husband and I would highly recommend HRC. We are already planning to use them again for our next remodel project!”
