Dave Gerson from Forest Joinery came via a recommendation. I needed a new wardrobe constructed and installed on a very tight timeline. Dave was extremely helpful and showed great attention to detail. The wardrobe was completed on time and I could not be happier with the result. A fantastic job, thank you Dave.

Dave recently completed bedroom wardrobes, a laundry cupboard, a custom shoe cupboard and bay window drawers for us and we are delighted with the finished product. My experience with this company was very good from the start. David Gerson called me soon after I left a message on his phone, came by as he promised, discussed all the details of the job and told me about the stages to be expected. He sent the next day a very reasonable quote and after I agreed to start found the right wood (it had to match the existing wardrobe in the room), took measurements, discussed more details and gave me an estimate date for the end of the job. With a very short delay, due to Covid, he kept his word and installed a beautifully finished cabinet and work desk, exactly as planned.

I got off to rather a slow start with the company but Michelle maintained communication until the principal could find the time to come up and measure for my kitchen renovation. I found Dave professional and knowledgeable of all aspects of the trade. The remodeling, and improvements to the cabinetry suggested and realized by Dave and his team upgraded what had started to look like a tired kitchen, to a fresh superior workspace. The replaced cupboards, fittings and drawers are all top quality and hugely increase my enjoyment of the space. A new quartz benchtop which was ordered oversize to incorporate a breakfast bar at Dave’s suggestion is a triumph. The installation team were extremely careful in protecting the floor, cleaned up perfectly and were very respectful of my home. All in all thoroughly pleased and a good experience.

Dave Gerson has a special knack for making kitchens and joinery for home fit outs. I find him to be rather pedantic and meticulous, which are great skills when it comes to attention to details. And this is critical when it comes to the fine details of making and more so, installing a kitchen. Dave did a finicky little job retrofitting cupboard doors to an existing bookcase, as well as building a small additional cupboard for my study. Both jobs were completed to an exceptional standard and are working perfectly. Dave was able to match with existing fitout to a "T", and also gave me some excellent advice (when I asked!) for the deck renewal project I was about to commence at time of installation. I'll be getting Dave back for my next joinery job for sure.

Dave Gerson was recommended by our builder for a small, fairly simple custom cabinetry and bench top/sink support for a renovated laundry. The key thing for us was the attention to detail, ensuring everything aligned perfectly. We’ve just moved in and love our new home, the quality of Dave’s joinery work is solid and very noticeable immediately. Judith Dave did a complete makeover in our apartment, starting with restyling our kitchen. What a difference it has made. His economical use of space was amazing. Dave transformed our formal dining room into a stunning bedroom by installing a beautiful built-in wardrobe and shelving unit. Dave completed our kitchen renovation in May/Jun 2019. We got a few quotes but Dave was the most professional and reasonably priced. Dave managed the project from start to finish and the communication throughout was fantastic. As a client, we were a little uncertain of options for doors, drawers, wine rack fittings, etc and Dave advised us throughout the process of pros and cons. We were a little indecisive, but he always received our "change of mind" with a smile and no sign of frustration. He seemed to really take a pride in his work and he kept the place super clean, tidy and organised throughout the fitting - always vacuumed and swept up at the end of the day and took away all the packaging and excess. We were super happy with the result and I'd highly recommend Dave to anyone who wants a quality kitchen.

Dave has now completed 5 pieces of work for us from redesigning our kitchen making it more user friendly to designing and building his first cd free standing draw system. In total from the original job to the last it took around 9 months to complete but it suited us to do each piece this way so it gave us a bit of thinking time to come up with design features for each piece. Dave was more than accommodating over that entire period and came up with great ideas before each order was placed.
