My father started this firm in 1948. It benefited like many companies of that time from the mass imigration due to displaced people after the 2nd world war. He settled on making a comfortable income rather than expanding, prefering to provide stable, interesting challenges to a good team of professional tradespeople. This was the environment that I stepped into as an apprentice in the late 70's. Gaining experience by working with tradespeople from all over the world, gave me a vast knowledge base and I expanded that by adding the Building Certificate and several drafting and architectural courses as well. Unlike many of my competitors, I understand the building process and can generally forsee potential problems and usually find a remedy before ta building fault arrises. Most problems can be addressed before commencement of production by insisting on 'working drawings'. These provide a method for procedure and hence highlight any likely issues.

We don't specialize in any one area of our field. We custom make every thing we do, to suit our clients uses. Non standard, that's us! If it's made of timber, we can more than likely make it. More recently though, we seem to be making more items using Australian Hardwoods.
