“Buckeye Home Improvements, owned by Tom Adams, was hired by us this past summer to build an addition on to our home. After talking to 3 other contractors, we knew right away we could feel comfortable and work with Tom and his company. He was the only one of all the contractors who took the initiative to draw out some preliminary plans and take his time to be sure we got what we wanted in the addition. All his workers who were in our house every day were friendly and considerate of our being in a disarray for four months. Their work done was to add 12 feet out from the corner of our home to the front and 10 feet to the side, which meant also tearing down the front corner of our home. The new floors on the addition were matched exactly to the old floors before the walls came down. We have a cape cod house and also wanted to extend the end of the house up stairs. The one point I demanded was that I didn't want the addition to look like it was added on but like it was always part of the house. This they did and we've had plenty of compliments from neighbors. The new addition enlarges our present bedroom from a small 10'x 11' to a beautiful master bedroom of 16' x 17' with a walk in closet with sliding doors and a master bath. The bathroom has a large marble shower that is 5' x 6' with a glass door. The bath floor is finished in a ceramic tile and the vanity also has a make up desk. The bedroom floor is done in hickory and is just beautiful. It ended up that the cost of the project with Tom was within our budget and only a little higher because of a few things that we wanted to add. This was our first time hiring and working with a contractor, which can be scary, but we felt comfortable working with Tom and would not hesitate to hire him in the future. We've already recommended him to others.”
