“We decided to remodel the living room, dining room and kitchen to expand the space, add a family room, move the half bath and update the kitchen. The kitchen was 20+ years old and had formica counters so desperately needed to be updated. Rather than just renovate the kitchen, we decide to go big and Breck took care of it all, from design to build. Our favorite feature of the design is the kitchen. All of the elements come together to make it a functional, beautiful kitchen that takes into account our desire to display items, entertain and have places to sit casually (around the counter) and formally (dining room). The kitchen is no longer a separate room but an integral part of the space. We got everything we wanted but could not visualize it until Breck came up with the design and suggestions. The computerized drawings helped us visualize it, which made decision making a lot easier. Working with Breck and his company was a good experience. The crew was trustworthy, they cleaned up at the end of each day and did a good job. Breck is very professional. We selected Breck because we knew he was professional, had the design certifications and is meticulous.”

“When April and I sat down at the beginning of my kitchen renovation to discuss my vision of a new kitchen, her subsequent rendering of the project from our discussion went well beyond my expectations. Not only did she listen to what I wanted, she made suggestions to make it better! My beautiful finished kitchen matched April's 3D rendering exactly. Not only did her professionalism and skill as a designer impress me, but she was a wealth of information in plugging me into the services I needed for all my renovation needs - from disposals, sinks, tile and counter tops, she made it easy for me to find what I needed. She was a powerful resource. I truly enjoyed working with her. I found her open, easy going communication style a pleasure to work with as it made this kitchen renovation flow nicely from start to finish. “Our remodel is posted to Houzz with the title "Lanikai Zen". The quality of the project - from initial design through demolition, construction and final punch list - exceeded our expectations in every way. The project included the complete demolition and remodeling of our kitchen/entry area as well as changes in the lighting and painting in the adjoining areas. Shelley provided us with a design that met all of our (very long) list of needs and then provided additional ideas and recommendations that made the design even more functional and attractive. Shelley's attention to detail was particularly impressive and she took the time to guide us through decisions on everything from flooring to the exact location of the cabinet pulls. Her attention to detail continued as she ensured that the correct materials were selected and ordered on a timely basis and then installed per the plan. She worked closely with Colin, the general contractor on our project. Colin and his subcontractors did excellent work (as can been seen in the photos), completed everything on time (or ahead of schedule) and managed the work area as well as anyone could. We were concerned that our elderly pets (a 20 year old cat and a 12 year bulldog) would be stressed by the construction - but even they were happy. Our neighbors were amazed that we could complete such a major project with so little disruption or noise during the 10 weeks of actual construction. We have had several remodeling projects in the 30+ years that we have owned this home, and this was by far the best experience we have had. The final design reflects our preferences and direction as well as Shelley's knowledge and guidance of material, style, design and color options We only wish we had known about Shelley, Colin and John Cook Kitchens earlier!”

Hinano's professionalism along with her keen eye to the finer details gave our home kitchen "Top of the Line Gourmet" look that we wanted and were looking for. Her complete understanding into transitioning a particular look from old to new along with modern came to fruition because of her vast knowledge and experience. Hinano assisted in securing our backsplash, cabinetry , countertop, sink, faucet, floating shelves and led lighting, lighting, cooktop, hood, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, steam convection oven, convection oven and microwave drawer. “Dustin did a wonderful job for us. Cleanest tradesman BY FAR, and we've hired quite a few over the last decades. The venetian plaster is fairly mesmerizing to look at -- so much depth. The thing we learned about plaster is the colors are tricky to match to a paint chip--and Dustin was very patient with me as I toned down the severity of my original choice. Great job!
