About Us

Metro Steel Services is a family owned and operated business established in 1992 by Pat Taaffe and now run by Pat’s son, Adam Taaffe. Metro Steel Services has grown to be one of the most highly regarded stainless steel fabricators in the Perth Metropolitan region. We provide custom stainless steel fit-outs for commercial bars and restaurants, and bespoke residential kitchens, outdoor barbeque areas, bars, alfresco areas, balustrades and rails. We are passionate about working with architects and designers that push the boundaries to create innovative fabrications. We are also a proud supporter of the Ronald McDonald House Charity in Perth, Western Australia and a major sponsor of the Ride for Sick Kids 2015.

We engaged Metro Steel Services whilst doing a small kitchen renovation to manufacture, supply & install two stainless steel bench tops (one complete with kitchen sink & taps), and a stainless steel breakfast bar to match. Adam and his team were very professional and proactive from the beginning, and we absolutely love the finished product! I needed a firm that would supply and construct in a seamless fashion without constant input from me. I found that in Metro. From the initial scoping estimate to the final construction and installation, the quality of service and product would be impossible to surpass. I am extremely happy with the final result and the care and consideration shown by all of the Metro people.

Metro designed, manufactured and installed a new rangehood and extractor for our BBQ. It was a challenging exercise due to very limited space and somewhat complex design requirements. The whole job was done with great professionalism and efficiency. Notwithstanding the difficulties of the job nothing was too much trouble and the whole exercise was carried our seamlessly. All involved were anxious to give very good service and were very courteous. I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

We are delighted with our alfresco area! Metro Steel Services listened to our requirements and built us a made to measure alfresco area that suited our needs. Reasssuingly the end result of our high quality handmade BBQ area justified the price & the installation was hassle free. Furthermore it has been pleasing to have been able to buy direct from a local West Australian business. We have now spent many a summer night entertaining friends and enjoying a relaxing dinner outside. Thanks Metro Steel Services!
