Mint Kitchen Group (Moonie Ponds – Frank (fabulous designer and 'solutions man', Alysha (brilliant 'original thinking' designer), Rath and Massimo (technical design), replaced an existing kitchen with new, remodelled a brand new laundry and installed a new high-end en-suite bathroom — all together a lot of work and each on its own, significant home improvement projects. They have a very personable and professional small design team and probably the best tradespeople in Melbourne. Professional, a high work ethic and incredible high-end finishes. Great attention to detail throughout, at the design phase, in the materials suggested and also in the production and fitting. In particular, the tiling work we had completed in our kitchen and bathroom has been exceptional. Whilst the cabinetry and stone work in the kitchen bathroom and laundry are also first-class. For me, Mint Kitchen Group offer the complete package—great design, very responsive and sensitive to a client's needs and budget; and outstanding service, all the way through to installation and completion. They aren't finished until the customer, me, is completely satisfied. For example, I had one moment where I didn't like the orientation in which the tiles had been laid in our bathroom, there was no discussion, they were removed and re-laid to my full satisfaction and at no additional cost for labour or materials. I can't recommend highly enough.

Hi Martyn, we really appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to leave a fabulous review. We loved working on your kitchen, laundry and bathroom. We are super happy with how it has all come together and we could not done it without great customers like you. Thank you very much for putting your trust in us from day 1. Fingers cross we get some good news in November for this year’s HIA awards for your renovation. We look forward to seeing soon when we are permitted to go into clients home again. Stay safe and many thanks Frank, Alicia, Tommaso, Rath and the MintKG Team

Our experience with Mint Kitchen Group in Moonee Ponds can be summed up in two phrases 'high quality' and 'stress free'.
We decided to visit the Mint Kitchen showroom after reading their good reviews and after the first consultation with one of their designers, Alicia, we were sold on the spot as she left a great first impression. We told her the pain points with our previous kitchen and what we set out to achieve. She was able to suggest several great design ideas and solutions.
Before approaching Mint Kitchen, we had an unpleasant experience with another kitchen renovation company and after meeting Alicia we felt immediately at ease knowing that she had our best interest in mind. We appreciated her honesty about their pricing and timelines which gave us realistic expectations and zero regrets.
From the first stages of design to the final stages of the building process, their team exhibited professionalism and expertise. Their customer service was always prompt and pleasant.
Our kitchen was finished a week before the due date and we couldn't be happier with the end results. Thank you to the Mint Kitchen team for building our dream kitchen.

When my husband and I decided to renovate, we didn’t know where to start. We had already got two generic quotes but didn’t feel like they were really interested in helping. We chanced upon Mint Kitchens and there was no looking back from there. Kim was excellent from the start, came home and talked to us about our options, drew up plans etc. We had to get things done rather in a hurry. She was there constantly and reminded us of what we needed to do to prepare for the work. She even drove us to purchase tiles and offered names of where to purchase appliances. Albert was involved at every step as well. Once the renovations started, Luke and team continued to keep us updated through every step of the way. They were so communicative and accomodating and their work was excellent. To put your home in the hands of complete strangers can be challenging but knowing that every single person was invested at each stage was so reassuring. We had the most seamless renovation experience. Even our neighbours commented on how well it was carried out as there was minimal disturbance to everyone.
In addition to this, at the end of it, whenever we raised any concerns, they were addressed right away. The workmanship, customer service and quality is absolutely outstanding. Don’t even think twice before signing up with Mint. We are two very happy customers. Sarah and Daryl

We signed contracts with Albert - Mint Kitchens to complete the design, build and installation (including stone) of our kitchen, dining and laundry cabinetry in our newly renovated home. We complied with all of Mint Kitchens instructions and we only paid Mint Kitchen as per our contract (except for the installation of cabinetry that was paid directly to their sub-contractor).
Early September 2019, (cabinets were installed 2 weeks prior), stone bench tops were being installed. With the last of the stone to be installed in the kitchen, stone mason took off his jumper and placed on top of our brand new never used freestanding oven. Whilst installing the stone he leaned into the knobs, electricity sparked with his jumper catching on fire along with my brand new 2 week old kitchen. The fire was deemed an accident by the fire authority and our insurance assessed the damage at $40,000 (this included replacement of cabinets, removal and replacement of fire damaged floor boards, plastering, repainting 1/3 of the house due to soot damage etc).
Post fire, Mint Kitchen have never apologised or accepted fault, in fact Mint Kitchens have denied any liability given it was not Mint Kitchen trades that installed the stone even though the stone was ordered by Mint Kitchen, invoice issued by Mint Kitchen and payment was made in full to Mint Kitchen. To add further insult to our misfortune Mint Kitchen profited a further $10k from the fire to replace the fire damaged cabinets because of their engaged stone mason. For 3 months we did not have a functioning kitchen, no cooking facilities and we lived in a house covered in soot. We spent many weekends and week nights repacking the kitchen and other affected areas in preparation to be relocated for 3 weeks whilst the damage was repaired in Dec 19 (only just moved in Aug 2019). Not to mention the emotional and financial stress caused.
We acknowledge that accidents happen and we are extremely thank full no one was injured, however taking into account Mint Kitchens lack of accountability, lack of empathy, lack of assistance and complete denial please seriously consider engaging their services .

Comment from Mint Kitchen Group:
HI Monique,
We would like to apologize for your recent experience with Mint Kitchens Carnegie, we are so sorry that you feel this way.
We set a high standard for ourselves and have never experienced a situation like this (the fire) in over 20 years of business. We acknowledge that perhaps our inexperience in this situation let us and you down. (Once the insurance company took control, we trusted that the replacement would be dealt with quickly and professionally).
We understand how disheartened this situation has made you feel and are very disappointed with ourselves, considering how well the renovation was going up to the point of the fire.
Once again, we apologise for the inconvenience caused and hope that you can now enjoy your beautifully renovated kitchen for many years to come.
Yours faithfully,
Albert and the Mint Kitchens Carnegie Team

Over many years now, we have engaged Albert and his Team from Mint Kitchens Carnegie for several large projects throughout our home. One being our kitchen and adjoining Family/Living area, which... to this day still looks and functions fabulously ! With great design ideas, quality and workmanship, we would, without hesitation, highly recommend Mint Kitchens Carnegie...

I recently worked with Mint Kitchens Moonee Ponds to redo my kitchen which was poorly laid out, with no storage. Alicia was able to provide great ideas and usage for the space which makes it a pleasure to use now it's complete. I also appreciated them being able to work around my travel so most of the demo/build was completed whilst myself (and more importantly my cat) were not around which made it much less hassle. There was one hitch in the process when the drawers wouldn't open once the oven was installed, but this issue was promptly dealt with and the final product looks great.

Great end-to-end service from Moonee Ponds Mint. The design was far, far better than those offered by other suppliers, and the execution was perfect. My house was well looked after and any issues sorted out smoothly and professionally. Thoroughly recommend Mint and their Moonee Ponds team of experts.

Lindsay and his team from Mint Kitchens in Burwood spent a fair part of 2018 tearing out our old kitchen and two bathrooms, and installing as new to gutted spaces. The project included the removal of a structural wall, with insertion of a steel beam. It also involved the creation of a new bedroom, hiving off a dining room alcove to improve our accommodation requirements. We had separate companies doing our flooring (new timber and carpeted bedrooms), and the entire house was painted internally. It was a large job, and our budget for the entire project was around 200K.
We met Lindsay as walk-ins into the Burwood showroom, and he was one of several enterprises that we visited about our project. We were impressed with his approach, and felt it a good fit for us. The Mint Group are clearly independent entities that function under the one banner, and each location will have their strengths and weaknesses. Our main contact was Lindsay, and in Burwood it’s clearly his show. As such, the business will rise or fall based on his performance, and we were very impressed with his attention to detail (a highly fastidious, detail-orientated approach that sat very well with our particulars). His desire to plan out every possible detail to avoid confusion later was fantastic.
We were pretty hands-on with the design, as we were changing the location of walls and plumbing, and Lindsay was fantastic in accommodating our design changes up until the building started, and even after it began. We had a couple of variations during the build (this is where the trust factor with the designer and builder is important, as its almost impossible to say, “no” to whatever price this costs. We didn’t feel exploited during these times, and felt the quotes for additions were fair and reasonable.
We had a few moments where things were done in a manner that deviated from our plans, and were attentive enough during the build process to ask these to be corrected as they occurred. Lindsay was very good about owning mistakes when they were by his trades, and had the good grace to move a heated towel rail that he was sure I’d asked to be positioned in a certain way, and I was sure that I had not. This included removing tiles and re-drilling in a separate location. In general, Lindsay’s initial response when challenged about some issues was to bat them away, and there were times when I needed to remind myself that we were the customers and take a firmer stand when my initial concerns were dismissed.
In fact, the only sadness I have when looking at what we’ve created together was with the final finishing of the tiling (an over-zealous tradie ran a thick strip of black sealant along the edge of our beautifully tiled wall, and this couldn’t be fixed adequately by our painters).
A good outcome comes from good design, and Lindsay is certainly an excellent designer. He is aware of all of the “tricks” about good design, and his ideas were central to us achieving warmth and functionality in our spaces. Attention to lighting, power points, and room flow was all great. We did feel at times that Lindsay’s desire to let us choose (colours, doors, finishes, etc) was a little overplayed – whilst there are thousands of decisions that go into making these spaces look great, I’m of the opinion that the designer should be a little more proscriptive in saying what they think looks great, and offering an opinion like, “I feel you should go with this…” is not as fraught as it seems. We certainly felt that some additional guidance when choosing colours, styles, and even design would have been useful, but I accept that for others this “open order” style would be perfect.
Would I use them again? Yes! Our kitchen is beautiful. Our bathrooms are amazing. Are we satisfied with the quality of the build? Absolutely. I’ll put up some more photos if we ever have a kitchen bench that’s empty enough to photograph!

We recently completed a project with Lindsay and the team at Mint Kitchens Burwood and would strongly recommend their services. Our project consisted of a new kitchen, laundry, bathroom, en-suite and powder room, we also carried out some internal structural works. As first time renovators under-taking a sizeable project, being able to work with one company to manage the entire project was important. Equally important was the need to work with someone we could trust, from our first meeting we knew that Lindsay was the right person for our project – his relaxed, no fuss approach made us feel very comfortable that his #1 priority was ensuring that we achieved the finished product we were hoping to achieve.
Lindsay’s experience, creativity and patience made the planning and design phase a very straight-forward process. We appreciated that Lindsay took the time to understand our wish list and he was very diligent at ensuring we were very comfortable throughout the entire process.
We found Lindsay’s tradesman to be courteous and respectful, Lindsay’s meticulous planning ensured that his team were always clear on what was expected from them and it also ensured the project was completed on time.
The quality of craftsmanship executed across the renovation exceeded our expectation and we couldn’t be happier with the finished product. We highly recommend Lindsay and the Team at Mint Kitchens – Burwood.

Rath, Tommaso, Marzena and the team are brilliant. I cannot rate them highly enough. I am not an easy customer, I have ideas of exactly what I want (and sometimes don't know what I want) and in both cases the Mint team are always helpful, patient and creative. For example, after the kitchen was installed I learned about induction cooktops, and so I asked Mint to change from the gas cooktop design. This was tricky. Mint were fantastic. The job was completed on time, on budget, with very high quality and friendly service. Well done team. I have no hesitation recommending Mint Ascot Vale.
