Rod's Kitchens

Similar to one of the other reviewers, the project management of Rod's Kitchens leaves a lot to be desired. Considering that review was from four years ago, they clearly have not taken any of that feedback on board. If you want a very very basic kitchen, maybe things would be easier I dont know but in our experience the entire process has been one big disappointment. They are painfully slow and non-communicative and customer service is certainly not at the forefront of what they do (or anywhere near). I would never use them again.

Rod’s Kitchens were highly recommended to me by my sister Mary-Anne. From my first contact with Kitchen designer Robert, the Showroom assistance from Alicia, in choosing style and colours, through to the experienced, meticulous and well mannered trades, the job was seamless and the finish was very pleasing. I would highly recommend Rod’s Kitchens.

Product and installation was excellent. Project management left a little to be desired as I felt pressured to take quotes, dealt with a number of questions and indecision from tradesmen on issues and there was no assistance from Rod's. The final product is great but the stress involved during the install took away from this.

My completed kitchen looks fabulous, the cabinetry has been well made and is great quality. However there were some minor problems with the cabinetry after install. To my surprise it was difficult to get someone to come out to my house to look at the problems. They did eventually decide to come out to see the problems and fixed some on them on the spot but after a lengthy discussion they said they would fix the main problem only out of good will. Sadly the fact I had to fight to get a simple problem fixed has left me disappointed.

Thank you to Rod's Kitchens for our beautiful new kitchen. We have a bay window in our kitchen and the original design was awkward and unattractive. Robert's design has left us with so much more bench space. A huge thank you to Roger and Blake for spending the extra hours getting the benches to fit seamlessly. A big thank you also to Alicia for your patience in helping me choose the colours and appliances. I never felt rushed or under any pressure. In fact, all of Rod's tradesmen were professional and polite and I enjoyed having them in my home. When we originally went searching for a kitchen company we found Rod's via Google. After visiting the showroom we looked no further and not just because of the price. Rod’s kitchens is a very professional kitchen company who produce a top quality product. They are supportive and helpful in every area of the installation with tradesmen who are skilled and efficient. They are more than willing to assist with any issues that crop up during the build. The kitchen they produced was of a very high standard and my kitchen looks amazing. Whether you deal with the designer, the tradesmen the display centre or the office staff, every employee is willing to assist and support your ideas and concerns. Renovating a home is very hard. Especially if it’s the first time, as was the case for us. Working with Rods Kitchen made something that I was so worried about getting right our kitchen. From the lovely, knowledgeable and patience lady’s in the front helping you decide on the look of the kitchen. To our check measure man. Steve in the back. The install guys. Snd let’s not forget the cabinets. I couldn’t believe something I chose could look so good. Everything is perfect and I just love it. This kitchen has made our house our home. I obtained 3 quotes for our kitchen renovations. Whilst Rods Kitchen were not the cheapest I went with them because of their professionalism, their quote included all the changes I requested. After making this selection, I visited their showroom & the ladies assisted us in selecting the colours for the drawers, pantry doors & bench & vanity tops. Also with selecting the taps, basin etc. Very helpful indeed. The sub contract installers, plumber & electrician they use were also great. I would have no hesitation in recommending Rod's Kitchens. They also changed our vanity unit as well. They managed to obtained the dishwasher we wanted cheaper than we could &saved us around $100
