Our brief to Ben was for a small pond that would look natural in our backyard. From our initial discussion with Ben through to the completion of our pond and waterfalls, we could not have been happier. Ben is highly experienced and he has a great eye; we are thrilled with the result. His team was great — friendly, pleasant and you could tell that they loved what they were doing. The photo shows the night lights — I’m really glad that Ben suggested them.

Comment from Ben Harris Gardens:
Thanks Ann. I think you are in the running for client of the decade!!! I've never been so well fed at a job :) I am glad you love the pond, as it was a pleasure to create it for you.

After enjoying our home for 10 years we decided to give it a long overdue birthday in the form of a 4 meter creek flowing over two waterfalls into a native fish pond. Ben was asked to create a natural landscape that looked as if the house was built around it. The final product is amazing, it has instantly become the most frequented part of the backyard with the entire family enjoying the space. Complete with water falls and an island, you can find yourself totally at peace as you watch nature enjoying the space as much as you. Well done Ben. I don't usually write reviews, but you really deserve the highest praise for your delivery on this landscape.

Ben's brief was to redesign a pond near our home that would hold water over dry summer months and enhance our existing garden. The project required creative flair and an ability to to manage some logistical challenges. Some additional challenges were added by cyclonic wind and rain! We are really pleased with the result of Ben's work and are getting great pleasure from looking and being around the space he has created.

We are more than delighted with our endless stream, More importantly, from the moment we viewed Ben's website, to the most courteous return phone call, we were most impressed with the service. Ben's business is the ideal small business that many businesses, should aspire to. He listens, responds and makes the whole experience a delight. There were no issues as dealing with Ben were met with straight answers. We through a challenge asking for a design that dealt with 4 large dogs who will endless play in the water and Ben more than met that challenge. Oh yes, we do love our endless stream.

Ben and his team transformed our two overgrown garden areas into two beautiful native, bird-attracting spaces. He understood from the start what we wanted and was happy to make changes or alterations based on our input; he is also a great communicator and has a great knowledge of plants and horticulture. Ben is a true professional and I would recommend him anytime.

Ben and his hard working crew have created the most amazing natural water feature at the rear of our property in Walkerville. During the wettest week for years, Ben completed the project by winching all the rocks up a steep incline one by one. All excess soil (or should I say clay) was bucketed out !! At the end of the week, Ben had transformed this very difficult site into something extraordinary that looked like it belonged here for years. The attraction for the birdlife (first being a lyrebird !!) and wildlife was immediate. Photos do not do justice for the detail, planning and physical efforts put in. Ben, your passion for this work is obvious and your deserve all the industry awards that you continue to receive. Could not be happier !!

I wanted a native garden that would attract birds and other wildlife. Ben ran with this vague brief and created an amazing garden that was beyond my expectations. His professionalism, attention to detail and high level of communication made the whole experience smooth and stress free for me. I can't thank Ben enough and highly recommend him to anyone looking to employ a landscape designer.

Ben and his three great offsiders have completed a wonderful living stream in our backyard. He is also in the process of completing a fern garden down one side of the house which was just barren and uninteresting.
Ben was attentive to our needs and listened to what we had in mind whilst bringing his own creativity to the project. Now we can sit on our decking having a drink/meal enjoying the babbling of the brook. He was on time and kept us up to date of any change or hitches that occurred along the way. His project came in in accordance with the quote given. Ben's knowledge and experience in completing the project was excellent.
I could not recommend him highly enough.

Following the construction of our home, the yard was left very muddy and uneven. After to talking to a number of ‘landscape designers’ we came across Ben Harris who listened to our desires to have a yard that invited relaxation and tranquillity. We wanted to enhance the local flora and fauna and so wanted someone who could work creatively with natural materials. Ben went through his ideas with us to ensure we could visualize it. He and his team worked diligently; they were meticulous in their planning and execution of the job. Our yard has been transformed; it looks like a natural extension of the surrounds. Thanks Ben & team !

I asked Ben to design and build me a creek with disappearing pond for my new garden in my holiday house. I wanted it to look natural - as if it had always been there. He surpassed my expectations. He listened to all my ideas and was able to understand and appreciate what I wanted. He and his team worked long hours over several days to create a magical water feature. He is a true artist in his design: his careful placement of rocks to create a natural appearance, and different sounds, the changes in shape and depth and placement on our block have made the creek appear so natural than many visitors believe it is. His price was extremely reasonable for the product he delivered. He was on time, the final cost was as quoted and the quality of workmanship and care taken were exceptional.

Commented: Flower questionThe plant is called Leonotis leonurus, and its common name is Lions Ears. We cut it back twice a year. It grows about 2m x 2m. It is reasonably drought-tolerant. It's a great plant!
