Cathy and Nick form a great team, and are a pleasure to work with - enthusiastic, creative and extremely helpful. Cathy came up with the garden design, and her knowledge of plants is extensive. Nick and his team are professional and considerate. I originally contacted Catnik in June last year. The delays in starting our garden project were initially because they were just so busy with other projects, so be prepared in these covid with everyone interested in their house and garden renovations to perhaps wait a while. But after a few months we agreed, mutually, that it would be better to start our project after the heat of summer, and so it commenced in autumn. Once the project commenced it has been plain sailing. Catnik's customer service is exemplary.

Cathy’s design options were very impressive – she listened to us and came up with some fabulous ideas for our front and back yards. The selection of plants were pretty spectacular as well. Cathy and Nick transformed my small backyard into a beautiful garden complete with working water fountain and a separate area for my veggies. Cathy listened to my ideas and what I wanted to achieve and then provided practical advice, plant suggestions and a detailed plan. Some of my existing pots and plants were retained to keep costs down and I'm very happy with the end result. Cathy and Nick's attention to detail is fantastic and I have no hesitation in recommending their services.

Catnik provided a great service in completing my garden requirements. The service was professional, friendly and prompt. Both back and front gardens were created with care and thought. Being new to Adelaide we engaged Catnik Studio to landscape both the front and back yards to integrate indoor and outdoor living. It is due to Cathy’s persistence and knowledge with local council that enabled us to proceed with the changes. Throughout the process both Cathy and Nick’s professionalism was outstanding, design, attention to detail, engaging trades, plant selection and including rubbish removal. Both Cathy and Nick are easy to work with and accommodating. We are more than happy with our low maintenance gardens along with a fully automated irrigation system and would highly recommend them to anyone.

We had some concept designs prepared for our garden to accompany a new house design and are thrilled with the results. Cathy and Nick are clearly passionate about what they do and have given us some great ideas for our garden, while also being very responsive to our vision. I engaged Catnik Design Studio to redesign my newly purchased 1910 villa floor plan and design a new contemporary addition. Within the design, I required an en-suite bathroom and walk in robe to my bedroom. There was only a sleep-out bathroom when I purchased and Nick redesigned an old study/sewing room and transformed it into a stunning family bathroom. The home needed extensive renovation which Nick and Cathy designed, oversaw and implemented seamlessly. I am awed by their enthusiasm and commitment. In addition to this the garden needed to be re-designed which is currently under construction and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I look forward to stage 2 which is a new addition to the back of the home capturing the northern light on a south side block. Cathy from Catnik designs was amazing to work! We wanted landscape designs for our 'over the top' tropical themed back yard, including a bali hut, water feature, and walkway to a more modern tropical seating area. I had some pretty particular ideas, and Cathy was great in listening to my thoughts but also adding some great concepts I hadn't thought of. Even though we only had plans done, she was still more than happy to guide me with where to find tradesmen/builders/nurseries to start our project. Her plant list and final design was incredible and definitely fulfilled our brief! I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Before engaging Catnik Design Studio to design and create our garden, my husband Sam Scott and I didn't know where to start. Neither of us had any gardening experience and we moved from an apartment into a house with more than 800 square metres of garden! The existing garden had no structure or design and was a hot mess of twee, dated plants and multiple grasses. Sam and I wanted something contemporary, hardy and practical. Our goal was to have a garden that our two boys could run around in, kick the ball in etc... And for us to enjoy with a gin and tonic in hand, and be proud to invite our friends around for a barbecue outdoors. Thank god we found Catnik Design Studio. We explained what we wanted to Cath who came back to us with a plan that included interesting plants we’d never heard of before, a new layout design and features which met the brief, and more. She was patient with us and understood our budget requirements and was happy to begin landscaping when the time was right for us, and in stages. Cathy Apps managed the project from start to finish – ordering plants, mulch, landscaping, gardening and irrigation with Nick. Throughout the process Cathy was an excellent communicator. We also learned a lot about gardening throughout the process from planting to irrigation to fertilizing ... and we had a lot of fun too. Both Sam and I now love nothing more than sitting back and enjoying the fruits of our labour when we look at our garden. Both Cath and Nick are always only too happy to come out and fix any problems or guide us with plant suggestions, features etc. There is still more we want to do/add when we can and we will continue to engage Catnik Design Studio with any future developments. Sam and I now get so much joy looking at our garden each day and we continue to get remarks from people whenever they visit. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Catnik Design Studio for all your gardening needs.
