Founded by Grant Boyle in 2015, Fig Landscapes was established with one goal in mind; to create functional, sustainable and beautiful gardens that reflect our clients’ tastes and enhance their lifestyle. After a decade working in the Landscaping industry for some of Sydney’s leading Landscape and Building companies Grant set out to create a business that enabled him to express his broad range of skills in both design and construction. “Gardens are a place of connection. Grant and his company Fig Landscapes did an excellent job on our front and backyard in Tamarama. We were put on to Grant from a local word of mouth recommendation. His service, from design to build and ongoing maintenance has been first rate. Grant came up with an innovative, clean design to deal with our unusual shaped back yard. He managed to incorporate all of our key requirements while adding a level of flair and integrity that we hadn't thought possible with our space. Grant, and all of his team were lovely to deal with and really helpful. Since the job was finished we've had numerous compliments and requests for Grant's details from neighbours and passers-by. We'd recommend Grant to anyone and will definately be using Fig Landscape again if we need a landscape architect.

We carried out a full house renovation and I was recommended to use Fig Landscaping for the gardens and backyard. I was immediately impressed with Grant's ideas and his professionalism in turning the ambitious concepts through to the projects completion. His team were always punctual, friendly and they all had excellent skills across numerous trades, which took the job to the next level. We contracted Fig Landscapes to remodel and landscape our Surry Hills garden in January 2006 for a fixed lump sum. Aside from some client requested variations there were no cost or time overruns. Grant and his team (including sub contractors) were a pleasure to deal with, we had no concerns relating to trades not turning up, delaying completion. Access to our property is not easy due to over zealous Council restrictions and they managed well. I am very particular as an architect about design outcomes and working with Grant's knowledge was easy and a pleasant experience. We would recommend Fig Landscaped to any future client.

From the get go, Grant is just a really nice guy. He listens to what you want and has loads of great ideas. We had him do some work on our front garden and felt that his main goal is just making sure we have a garden we love and that we'll use. Grant and his team do a really wonderful job. I engaged Fig Landscapes to do a backyard makeover which included, replacement of retaining walls, paving, replacement of pergola, screens, painting, addition of lighting and re-design of garden. The end result was fantastic. Grant had great ideas and provided me with careful and expert guidance regarding my choices of design and materials. Grant's team stuck to the schedule, were on time, were un-imposing and kept me informed throughout the process. I would use this team in an instant again and would highly recommend to my family and friends.

Fig Landscapes was our perfect choice to upgrade our existing garden. The brief was new paving and new tiles for the veranda as well as upgrading the existing garden for a french country look in an urban setting. From the outset Grant Boyle was professional, knowledgable and respectful of our needs. He and his team began and finished the job on time despite the weather. We sourced the stone from Eco outdoors and used recycled bricks for the paving. Reusing the existing colour scheme of white and green we added some Tuckaroo trees, an Olive tree, Gardenias, Liriope, Dietes and Dichondra for ground cover. We are delighted with the result and with Fig landscapes and look forward to enjoying the new growth in the garden.

Commented: The grey tilesHi Sylvia, Thanks for getting in touch. The tiles are Belgium bluestone in 400mm x 400mm x 30mm. We laid it on a 60mm concrete sub base and 20mm wet bed with 5mm grout. The tiles themselves are fair...
