Anth started his business as ‘Urban Oasis’ in 1998 while he was studying his Bachelor of Science Horticulture at Melbourne University. He moved to Geelong for a sea change with his growing family in 2010 and after a couple of years commuting to and from Melbourne decided to base himself in Geelong. Anth’s mixture of formal education, experience on the tools and in design gives him an edge. He has hands on knowledge of materials and how they will perform in certain environments. What looks good, what is physically possible and what is most practical given the situation. His plant knowledge is exceptional thanks to his training at Burnley College and his ongoing work ensures it is kept up to date and up to fashion. Along the way and through the years Anth has been working, he has gradually selected a hand picked group of people to work alongside. All the drawings are produced digitally by Kate who is currently studying building design and technology with units in producing working drawings using autoCAD . The plans produced by Johnstone Designs are ready to send to various bodies for approval should they be needed at your local council.
