These guys are fantastic and great to work with. Have used them to prepare our gardens/grounds for sale of two different houses, one in 2010, and again in 2015, most recently on a >600sqm property, the garden and balconies of which looked absolutely stunning after Quercus had been through. Richard was a dream to deal with, his staff are all hard-working and personable and I'm convinced our beautiful garden helped us achieve the price we were asking.

After reading all the other reviews I cannot believe how different my experience was. Contracting this landscaping company was the worst decision I have ever made... oh wait the fact is there was no contract nor was I provided with insurance documentation which, as I found out after the job was completed, is a legal requirement for jobs of this magnitude. So when I was told the job would take 4 - 6 weeks instead of what should have been 10 - 12 weeks, I had no come back as this would have been in the contract. He deliberately misled me to get the job. From my experience I have also discovered the ‘after sales service’ is non existent. I paid in full with the understanding that they would come back to make any repairs and treat the deck, this did not happen. I tried for 5 months before asking for help from the Master Landscapers Association which successfully got them here. Now, after still having issues with the same area, my sunroom, it has happened again. Richard promised to come in December, 2018. This did not happen nor did they contact me until today, by email from his new project manager wanting to organise a time to do the maintenance work which was promised 3 months ago. Being a single parent I have found that tradies often treat you as an easy target now with this experience it has turned me off getting any more work done. I believe in giving people a second chance there will not be a third. In response to your reply you did not comment on my major point so I will ask you this: Did all your clients between $5000 and $20,000 have a short contract? Did all your clients over $20,000 have a long contract? Did they all get a copy of the Consumers Building Guide? Did they view your HBCF building insurance policy for their property? All of this is required by law as set out by the NSW Fair Trading. So if the answer is yes they did get all this then why was I not treated the same as all your other clients. You are an award winning landscape designer, why choose to break the law and why with me and take away my legal rights? LNA is only for mediation so the next step is Fair Trading NSW.

I found Quercus Gardens by chance via Google and was impressed by the fact that they worked all over Sydney, to a range of budgets and each design seemed unique to their clients. Our landscaping project was a tough job - 3 separate areas, 2 of them steep, rocky and with extremely limited access (manual excavation required). RIchard came over to quote and his face said it all, he was positively beaming at the prospect of the challenge - the job was his! After contracting his services, Richard worked closely, sensitively and respectfully with us to find an overall design to meet our budget. The Quercus team were absolute professionals - hardworking, friendly and a pleasure to have around. There was a resolution found for every problem which presented itself and I was in no doubt that the end result would be amazing. Every day and every evening I walk around, relax, entertain and enjoy my new gardens and feel so very grateful to Richard, Sam and the rest of the team for providing me with such special, constantly changing, functional and beautiful outdoor spaces.

Richard and his team built a large deck area for us with an embedded spa that involved an innovative retractable cover. The workmanship is excellent and the finished product a great improvement on the past garden area. The Quercus team were very professional, friendly, tidy and polite. We would have no hesitation in recommending Quercus Gardens or using their services again.

We hired Richard and his team to design and landscape our inner-west courtyard. They managed to turn a small, uninviting space into a low maintenance but beautiful garden perfect for entertaining. They replaced a collapsing wooden palling fence with a recycled brick wall which included integrated lighting. They also installed bench seating, a built-in BBQ and raised garden beds. At all times the team were polite, tidy and professional. Our result is stunning and fitted our brief perfectly. We would recommend Quercus to anyone considering a landscaping project.

We employed Richard and his team to re-do our 4 x 15m back garden in Petersham. They did an amazing job in that small space. The area was transformed from a series of pokey spaces to 3 larger areas that function as additional 'rooms' for our busy family (2 adults, 2 children and a third on the way). The team at Quercus replaced old, unstable paling fences with new ones, including midldle sections made with wire to let in more light and air and provide sight lines beyond our property without interferring with the neighbours' privacy. The very small (and rotting) timber deck was replaced with a 4 x 4 m deck with built-in seating and shade sail, to become a fantastic outside play area for the kids, to enact plays, do messy craft. The central section became the site of 3 raised beds which are now overflowing with vegies. The back section now houses a bike shed. Richard and his team worked to their quote, were efficient and thoughtful, coming up with modifications as the work progressed to improve the overall result. They did a lot of 'hidden' work that makes a big difference to the functioning of the garden (eg the serious drainage to stop water flowing under the house). The team were considerate of our needs throughout the project, and of the impact on the neighbours, they left the site clean and were friendly throughout. We would recommend Richard and his Quercus team for any landscaping job!

Very professional - timely, organised and overall beautiful result. We asked Quercus Gardens to help redesign our garden including moving shed, adding new hedges, flowers and polishing up existing deck. Rich and his whole team delivered the design discussed on budget and in the timeframe that was promised. Highly recommend.

I hired Quercus to completely remodel and makeover my inner city garden which was cluttered, ugly and just stuck in the 80's. And the end result was brilliant. Richard and the team completely transformed my garden into a modern, green little oasis with plenty of space for entertaining. The whole team were professional, trustworthy and hard working. There was great attention to detail across all aspects of the garden - from the plant selection, to easy maintenance, lighting, storage and entertaining spaces. They really listened to what was important to me, and you could tell they really cared about getting everything right. They even installed bi-fold doors and a new awning so that the house opened out onto the new garden. It's made a real difference to the house as well as the garden. Richard was very communicative through the process and gave me regular updates on progress and any issues that came up along the way, so there were never any surprises. The end result was even better than I could have imagined from the start and I get so many comments about how great it looks from anyone who visits. I can't recommend Quercus highly enough - great experience.

We had Quercus Gardens complete our inner west, victorian semi's back yard landscaping in March 2014. The back yard is set up for living, with a small vege patch, garden seat and small shed. Rich from Quercus was excellent at listening to our ideas and offering suggestions that would improve the sense of space and flow of the outdoor living space. The team did a great job at a very good price. It took them about 3 weeks to complete the whole job which was the agreed duration. I am really happy with the finished product and cant wait to enjoy it this summer.
