“I had a fairly large border (approx 8m x 5m) which had been neglected for a few years. I wanted to create a low maintenance flower bed and liked the idea of a country garden look. Ben and Paul came round and assessed what was there in terms of position (light/shade), soil and the shrubs which were worth retaining. We also discussed budget. I then received a planting plan with a quotation and commissioned the work. The bed was cleared and planted mid June and I am delighted with the result. I now have a bed which will flower more or less from May to September and will require increasingly less maintenance as it matures. FGD are extremely knowledgeable and gave me advice on other areas of my garden (not areas which will result in work for them). I do have another two areas which do need a makeover and I will certainly commission them to undertake the project.”

“Eliza took a hugely positive and encouraging approach to her garden design work, and was a pleasure to work with. The project had two stages: initial and final, both of which were quoted in advance for price and timescales, and were delivered to the price and on time. The result was highly imaginative and interesting, and our garden attracts praise from everyone who visits us. We are still pleased with what we have and it has stood the test of time. We were recommended a choice of two contractors, and we got quotes from both and chose one of them. The implementation was good, but was let down by taking a very long time and poor pointing on the paving. A lot of this was caused by the weather (sustained torrential rain) and was really outside of Eliza's control. If there was anything that was less than perfect, it was the choice of some of the plants and their location. There were some tall plants that we ultimately failed to keep standing upright because of the wind (we are at the top of a hill). We had been hoping for more all year round plants and less that die down in the winter, but we knew very little at the time, and have since altered the mix a bit. However, we remain fully satisfied with the bit that is difficult to change, namely the hard landscaping.”

“We used Hendy Curzon Gradens to re-design our small walled garden. Even though this was a small project in comparison to some of their other work we were never made to feel any less important. Our first meeting with Adrienne and Nick went really well, we talked at length about all the various options, they listened to our "must have's" and considered the interior of our home in order for our garden compliment this. Their next process was to design and provide several storyboards of how our garden could look, these were well thought through and captured interest. During the landscaping phase, the HC team were excellent. The guys they employ to "build" the garden were very tidy, well mannered and a pleasure to have around. Planting was carried out by Adrienne, her attention to detail was fantastic. Our garden is now full of interest and is about to be a 'burst' of colour. I would recommend Hendy Curzon to anyone.
