“We hired Emme designs to decorate our penthouse and were very pleased with the results.Before proceeding , with her company,Emmy put our minds at ease by preparing a folio, showing us various materials, colour palette and fabric swatches to be used for our project. Emmy was very professional, communicated well, and was easy to talk to,understanding exactly what we liked…eg. we opted for a minimalist modern decor, for furniture ,T.V. cabinet, study nook etc.She had good contacts, and knew exactly where to source everything from, therefore saving us heaps. Emmy was very reliable and always kept her appointments on time. We highly recommend her for her knowledge and experience.”

“I cannot recommend Jacque enough. Jacque's style, creativity and flair for interior design is amazing and very very exciting. She had a willingness to work with pieces I already had and I definitely wanted to keep and was able to add value with some exciting ideas. I love how Jacque can open up your creative mind in a comfortable and respectful way. It was also very comforting that she was able to work within my budget - gave me peace of mind. “After a consultation, Natasha presented fabrics, wallpaper, paint, door solutions and general suggestions that were aligned with my preferences as well as the existing house design. Her solutions to my tricky window requirements were perfect and her suggestion on wallpapering resulted in my formal living areas transitioning form good to "wow". She was the project manager and chose trades people with impeccable work ethic and skill. Talk to Natasha if you want to get everything done that you have put off for a long time because you need inspiration and someone who can keep the project on track.”

“The architects unimaginative design coupled with partly unworkable documentation which lacked interior details, pushed the renovation and extension of our en-suite into trouble. Fortunately, we took Marc Dietrich on board to remedy the situation and avert an unfavourable outcome. He made some doable and affordable changes to the floor plan which allowed him to redesign the interior for a very pleasing outcome. He worked closely with the builder to achieve it in a timely and cost-effective manner. The builder was happy to work with him and liked his attention to detail and help to resolve some problems they ran into during the construction caused by the existing structure. Since working with Marc, we have engaged him again for some large custom joinery items in our lounge and family room. Thanks again Marc for your excellent and pleasing work!”

“I employed Shmik Interiors to furnish my beachside apartment in Melbourne. My two-bedroom apartment has great waterfront views but very tight, small rooms. Lisa came up with a furniture plan that utilised the space efficiently and turned my challenging space limitations into an apartment with a ‘beach resort’ style. I was thrilled with the results and was able to immediately let the apartment out after it had been languishing on the rental market. Lisa was easy to communicate with, very resourceful and delivered everything in a timely manner. I would happily recommend her services.”

“I originally approached Sally for advice on optimising the functionality of the outdoor space so that it became an extra room. The interior of my home is small and therefore I really needed another area to entertain. The workmanship on the decking is immaculate! I would't have thought to use the picture frame boarder but I admire it every time I am in the space. The next stage will be to plant out the garden beds, which Sally is also helping to arrange when I am ready. I have also always wanted plantations shutters, but thought they were out of my budget. Sally was able to use her industry contacts to obtain a price that was considerably less than the direct quote I received! I am so happy with the affordability, professionalism and genuine care that Substance Within Design and Sally herself have delivered. I would not hesitate to recommend working with Sally on your next project!”
