matthews mcdonald architects

Matthews McDonald Architects is a studio based practice in the Perth Hills, Western Australia. After graduating from Curtin University, the directors Leonie Matthews and Paul McDonald worked in a number of different Perth firms before establishing Matthews McDonald Architects in 2001. Leonie and Paul are interested in both the material and immaterial qualities of architecture and ways of building and making. They work closely with clients across a diverse range and scale of projects to create designs that are specific to place. Along with practicing they are also involved in teaching and research.
